BeFrugal seems to always have problems with certifying purchases.
Everytime that I have used them for a significant purchase, it has been rejected. And there is no recourse - Seller said no - nothing we can do. Never have this issue with Rakuten.
So, sometimes better to earn a little less than nothing at all.
This company is a complete fraud and a joke. They don't pay the commissions they owe, and "Todd" from customer service is there with the sole purpose of giving customers the runaround and firing off useless canned responses. I earned enough in time to qualify for the $10 new customer bonus. My account showed as much one day, and then the next, it doesn't. This goes back and forth for no reason. There were no chargebacks. You open a ticket and you get BS from "Todd" Don't waste your time or money with these thieves. They pocked the commissions and give you the runaround. Use another site
I made a purchase for 2 computers through Befrugal Cashback website. Weeks later, the pending cashback became availabe for withdrawal.
I then initiated the transfer to my PayPal account. After several weeks and not seing any deposit, I contacted Befrugal who informed me that "Unfortunately I cannot further assist you. Due to violations of BeFrugal's terms and conditions, your account has been deactivated and no further payment will be issued.".
I have no idea what does that mean looking at their terms and conditons.
When asking for further explanation I get the same above same message, like a robot was talking to me. When i tried to contact them through social media, my post got deleted. What type of business is that??
The amount was for ~500+ dollars which is the only reason I purchased the computers. Now, I cannot return them since they are past their return period.
Seems to me that they are trying to not honor their part of the deal.
I was searching the internet for a site that offered cash back for Match.com. After many searches I located only one, BeFrugal.com. I was hesitant at first, but after some research it seemed like it was a legitamate company. They were offering 75% cash back on the membership. So I went through their site to purchase the membership.
After 7 business days the rebate did not post to my account so I had to file a claim. The claim told me that they would have to reach out to match.com because they were not paid for the cash back. After a few weeks they contacted me and told me that my claim was denied because match.com doesn't have record of my purchase through them.
I have given BeFrugal.com 2 business days to rectify this situation or I will be contacting an attorney because there is no other site that offers cash back for match.com that I could find, so I could not have clicked another link. I didn't use any coupons and purchased the deal offered when I clicked the link from their site. Either match.com was never offering the cashback deal and this was a fraudulent offer, or befrugal.com is not paying because they were falsely advertising the deal.
I placed an order on October 23, 2016 on Walmart.com using my cell phone. I made sure I was signed into my befrugal.com account and clicked on the 4% cash back link. I then sent in a cash back inquiry on November 7, 2016. They requested I send in my order information which I quickly did. They then put in an inquiry to Walmart.com in which the cash back was pending an investigation.
On December 4,2016 I finally received the cash back but then they deducted it stating , "We have learned that the investigation was denied. This may have been result of clicking on any links or popups outside the BeFrugal brower window, searching using an outside site, using a coupon code offer not listed on BeFrugal, having another site's toolbar active, ect".
I did not use a coupon code or any kind of coupon, I did not click on any popups and I purchased the item in a timely manner. BeFrugal suggested that maybe I left the item in my cart and left it there for some time then purchased it. It took me 7 minutes from the time I clicked on the link to purchasing the item since I called Walmart.com and asked what was the time stamp on my order. I stated this to BeFrugal and again they dismissed it and stated that Walmart could not track my purchase therefore BeFrugal could not issue the cashback since they will not be receiving a commission from my purchase.
Have used many cash back sites over the years, including BeFrugal and have never had an issue until now.

Was waiting for the outcome of the first one to submit the second one. After 2 months, and no update, I contacted them again. They said they would reach out to the merchant again. I mentioned to them that I had another purchase (which was from 62 days prior). They said I missed the 60 day deadline. I explained that i had numerous claims and was waiting for a response on claim#1 to send claim#2. They didnt care.
Apparently, they give their customers a 60 day hard deadline, and won’t give leeway on 2 days...but they themselves don’t have to follow up within a given time (it took an email from me to have them follow up), nor do they require the merchants they deal with to respond timely.
Contacted their customer service and have been stone-walled. I asked for a supervisor and was told they would not escalate it further. They also have no listed phone number to speak to them on the phone.
In short, they baited me by getting me to use their site for cashback and provided no cashback.
Would definitely advise using other shopping portals. Some great other ones can be seen at cashbackmonitor. Avoid the tempting BeFrugal figures...as you may not actually get them and have no recourse but to email them over and over with no results.
I order through this site only because they said they would give 12% cashback. I followed all the rules and never received the cashback. No help contacting the customer service.
I had over a thousand dollar purchase but they refused to pay me without a reason (I got receipts and everything). I will never use them again!!! Such a scam
This company claims to provide a cashback -- when you purchase soemthing online using their website's direct link, they are supposed to give you back 1-10% of your purchase. The merchants pay this monies, NOT this company, They just receive a commision for "bringing" customers to the merchants' websites.
Earned about a $100 (after making lots of purchases online)-- never recived the payment. Their fake website shows that the payment was sent via paypal, but the payment never was recived. Contacted them multiple times -- never got any response.
They stole my $100 and the additional commision that the merchants paid directly to them.
Awful crooks and liars!! Succssefully used other similar websites for years. This is the only non-legit cashback site run by crooks and liars!!!
