False information on their site that they say can't be edited . my name is mixed-up with another's and across multiple times with other relatives.one can not trust sites like this and should not use them! They should not be able to display info that cannot be corrected be real people who know it is wrong! Bs speads fast enough in the world and fixing things like this shouldn't be this difficult!
Signed up for one usage to verify unknown workers at my home. One use, one price. They converted the subscription to every month. Tried to cancel out, and they charge you to cancel out.
Also, the information they provide in a search is nearly worthless.
Purchased (3) months of service from Been Verified.com on Jan 31,2019. Less than 30 days later I cancelled/closed the account via a phone call to 1-888-579-5910. However, my credit card continued to be billed (2) additional times (a credit card number is required to open an acct with Been Verified).
When I called to discuss these charges, the service representative immediately stated:
"All phone calls are recorded and we have no record of your call. However, as a courtesy to you, we will refund (1) of the (2) additional charges".
How quickly thery tried to put me on the defensive with the "record all phone calls" statement and then just as quickly offered to refund one of the charges. How many people agree to this 'plea-bargain' just to put the issue to rest? An unethical but lucrative business practice, indeed.
I was trying to find information about someone so used this service. The information that I was looking for was not available on their site, and was also not accurate. I knew this because of the information that I already had. That aside, I cancelled right away by calling and speaking with a LIVE rep. They continued billing me, then argued that it was my fault because THEY didn't send a confirmation email.
I've had same phone number for one year. Using BeenVerified shows different name than mine, different nationality, and therefore all information under my phone number is completely false, except for my address.
I have nothing to be concerned about, but the false name associated with my phone number has incriminating information. Was accused (by out of town car dealership) of giving out false information. Made a simple transaction very difficult to rectify.
Their information is not accurate, and you have to pay for the information.
I needed background on a person and they advertised that they provide names, birthdates, addresses and criminal background checks. I gave them the name and address and birtdate of the person.
They gave me back the information I gave them, and little else. They provide NO criminal background information.
Then the website suggeted that I could get criminal information if I signed up for another level, for $14, in addition to the $45 I alreadty paid Thy gave me no additional infomation. I was able to get criminal backgrond simply by going to my state corrections department, They didn't do that, nor did them give me anything about any other states' correctional data base. If I could do that on my own, there is no reason they could not and should not have gotten it for me. THIS IS A SCAM!
