I rarely shop at Bed Bath and Beyond and recently it has changed for the worst. Ever since Covid started as a distraction and to instill fear. Its obvious to me Corporations are all in Ca-Hoots together to push online and for retailers to start closing their stores. This is why retail stores are half empty and very little staff works at these corrupt corporations retailers.

I was emailed a 20% coupon which is very evaisve but indicates its for an entire purchase. I spent $83.73 and paid cash, which is a lot of money, only for a few items. The cashier ripped me off and only applied the coupon towards 1 item, which took $4.00 off. He ripped me off for about $15.00. I called this number customer service 1-800-462-3966 and spoke to Kay, she wouldn't provide an employee #, but gave me a confirmation number #210115-014851 to a gift card she would send to me, I haven't recieved anything. I just remembered today thinking why? I haven't recieved anything. I call back today and speak to a girl named Mariel, she did provide an employee # 101626003, but told me the very opposite of what Kay told me.

Mariel said she had no record of it, couldn't see my reciept and the number I was given didn't show up anywhere. Yet she could send an electric payment instead of a gift card, because they don't give those out, but that I had to set up an account. I told her that is not what Kay told me, I was given an option. I am done I am so sick of these corrupt corporations, ripping people off no matter how small, everything in this society is a scam and corporations get away with too much "white collar crime".

To the Founders of Bed, Bath and Beyond Leonard Feinstein and Warren Eisenberg your d****ebags!!!

I ordered a salad bowl online from Bed, Bath & Beyond on May 9, 2020. I received it on May 14 because it did not appear to be suitable for serving food. I followed the instructions posted on BBB's website and sent it back via Fedex on May 19. Tracking shows that it was received by Ewing at BBB's facility in Lewisville, Tx on May 21. (attached screenshot of proof of return on BBB's website and a screenshot of FedEx's tracking).

Today is July 10, 2020. I have written to them 3 times, asking when I am going to receive my refund. The last time I wrote to them, they sent me an email on June 28 (attached) saying they would respond to me in 5-7 days. No one has contacted me and I have not received my refund. I want my money back.

To Whom It May Concern:

On May 1st, I placed an online order for several home goods including a 1,000 Thread Count sheet set, coverlet set and a mattress pad. The gift was a Mother's Day gift and scheduled to deliver directly to my parents' house. Bed Bath & Beyond shipped the merchandise in three separate shipments. All three items were received; however, the bed sheets were incorrect. The warehouse shipped a 500 count thread sheet set, not the 1,000 thread count that I ordered. Bed Bath & Beyond charged my card $159.99 for this item.

My mother advised me of the mistake on 5/5 when the order delivered. Below is that tracking information.

UPS Tracking # 1Z44VY04YW38258011

I contacted a customer service representative over the phone on 5/6 to explain the issue. The warehouse employer clearly did not read the product label and the rigmarole begins. The customer service representative proceeded to tell me that they cannot ship me the correct product until I returned the wrong item back to them. I explained that this unacceptable. The customer service representative assigned me a case number #200505-016717. The case number stated that it would take 3 business days to process a new order. In reality, I already had an existing order from 5/1. Nevertheless, the issues persisted. I had to call Bed Bath & Beyond on 5/7 to request that they email me the return label they promised during the 5/6 call with the customer service representative. The CSR emailed me the return label and I shipped the item out the next day, which they have received.

Today is 5/15 and I still have not received the correct item and I am out $159.99. Bed Bath & Beyond doesn’t answer the phone, the live chat backlog takes an entire day, no response to email, etc. I even attempted to post tweets to their Twitter handle and I only receive automated messages with no substance. I have tried for 4 straight days to get a live person with no success.

I expect Bed Bath & Beyond to fulfill my order or refund my money. Furthermore, I demand a response from a live person via phone or email. The retailer should not accept e-commerce orders if they have no plans to complete the order with the correct product. Coronavirus is an easy excuse that Bed Bath & Beyond is using to evade customers and steal money. I waited the 3 day processing period, have received no shipment or tracking information and I plan to submit consumer complaints through various organizations until the company remedies the situation.

David F. Crow

This critical review covers the OXO Good Grip can opener. I purchased the OXO Good Grip can opener from Bed Bath and Beyond located at 63455 n Highway 97 Bldg O Bend Oregon 97703.

I paid $21.99 for the OXO Good Grip can opener. The OXO Good Grip can opener is made in China.

I tried the OXO Good Grip can opener on a can of Costco Kirkland Trident Wild Caught Alaskan Pink Salmon. The OXO Good Grip can opener was unable to open the can.

See the pictures. No phony review here.

The Costco cans are stamped with an expiration date of 2022. Perfect if you are preparing for any type of natural disaster. The Costco cans are made from high carbon American steel.

I tried the OXO Good Grip can opener on a second can of Costco Kirkland Trident Wild Caught Alaskan Pink Salmon. The OXO Good Grip can opener completely mutilated and disfigured the can making the can completely unsafe for children.

See the pictures. No phony reviews here.

Review the color photographs of how the OXO Good Grip can opener actually performed. The OXO Good Grip can opener is a horrible performer.

I am unable to recommend the OXO Good Grip can opener.

I returned to the Bed Bath and Beyond store in Bend Oregon.

I showed the actual cans to acting store manager Ian Taylor ASM 812. He was at a loss for words. I asked Ian Taylor ASM 812 is he would continue to recommend the OXO Good Grip can opener. He said he would and elaborated that he was successful opening Costco Tuna cans at home.

I purchased a third-party electronic gift card for Bed Bath & Beyond, in the amount of $400. I went to use it in a retail location and was told the gift card balance is zero. Bed Bath & Beyond shut down the card because the original purchaser paid with a bad credit card. Bed Bath & Beyond allowed this somehow.

And now, Bed Bath & Beyond is not willing to stand behind the card. I tried emailing the CEO Steven Temares, who never even responded to me; he just forwarded my email to someone else named Cameron Rees, who did absolutely nothing to help me.

After this report, I will be posting elsewhere online, contacting Chamber of Commerce, Yelp, Better Business Bureau, and possibly filing a small claims action against this company. I used to be a very regular customer, but since they have been so dishonest in this matter, I have not stepped foot into one of their stores. And until this is resolved, I will not.

Watch out: Bed Bath & Beyond will not stand behoind their gift cards, will not resolve concerns such as this, and does not care about customers like me. I will stop at nothing until I get reimbursement for this card. I recommend that everyone take note of their awful customer service and shop elsewhere.
