NEVER BUY FROM BECK’S FURNITURE!!! In December 2015, I had purchased a leather bonded Ashley recliner, and sofa from Beck’s furniture. After about a year, it started to severely peel with chunks of leather coming off. After contacting Becks, they stated that that’s normal wear and tear. After arguing with them for days telling them this was NOT normal wear and tear, they had me send some pictures in. After weeks of back and fourth calling and emailing, I finally got Beck’s to give me a full store credit towards a new couch set. After telling the sales person what had happened, they suggested real leather and explained to me how it doesn’t fade, crack, or peel. So I went ahead with his suggestion and purchased the real leather set.
After only three years of owning the real leather couch set, it’s doing the same thing. We also bought some home theater chairs which are doing the same thing as well, but a lot worse.
As you can tell from the pictures, the material on both couches are starting to fade, peel, and crack. I have included the brown leather recliner/sofa, and the home theater reclining chairs so you can see for yourself. After calling Beck’s and complaining, I was told by Theresa (The Manager) that this was normal wear and tear? Really? Chunks and strips of leather coming off is normal wear and tear? I called up other furniture stores to ask them if this sounds right. Five of them replied by saying absolutely not. This is poorly made furniture.
To add insult to injury, one of the delivery guys who delivered the sofa cut himself and was bleeding all over my floor. When I asked him if he was ok, he said it wasn’t him bleeding. What? I am staring at him holding his finger as blood drips onto the floor. How shady can you be? I reported this behavior to Beck’s and they didn’t believe me. It wasn’t until I sent pictures of blood all over the floor that they said they would talk to them. Probably never happened.
Beck’s sells extremely cheap furniture, hires liars as salesmen, and have dishonest delivery drivers. After buying a total of 3 couch sets over a 5 year period and having issues with everyone of them, I will never buy from Beck’s every again. I’m just sorry I didn’t read all of the negative reviews first before making my purchase.
