Let's list all the things that this guy screwed up on my omega for a simple polishing work:
1. He left big chunks (1-3mm size) of plastic in the dial (IKR, why do you even need to open it for polishing?)
2. He scratched the case in 4 different places, not small scratches, I mean deep scratches! Like he was trying to open the case with a crowbar.
3. He scratched the hour and minute hands in 5 places (confirmed by another watch repairman)
4. He left fingerprints and marks on all the indices on the dial.
5. He LOST the second hand on my tag heure (see update)
6. He caused IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE to my omega watch which he attempted to fix, but ended up making it worse. I didn’t want to waste time arguing with him, so I paid him and took back my watch to prevent further nightmares.
Positives: He is a nice person, and generally friendly, but he himself admitted that he had cataracts in his eye and cannot see clearly. So if you don’t mind someone who is half-blind to fix your watch, then you should use him.
I took my watch Mr. W Watch repair and he was able to lessen the damage, but the scratches on the hands were irreversible.
UPDATE: While he has destroying my omega, I left a tag heure for an estimate at the same time. After I realized what I sham he was, I asked for my tag heure back and cancelled the estimate. It took him 3 days to give it back to me, and when I picked it up, i didn't notice anything wrong. But after closer examination when I went home, I noticed that the SECOND HAND WAS MISSING! When I showed him the picture, he refused to take responsibility and said "You didn't notice it when you picked it up." At that point I had it and I had to write this review.
BOTTOM LINE, I PAID BC Watch Repair to damage my watch. Hopefully, you will not make the same mistake i did.
