Battlefield Addiction Reviews

  • Nov 14, 2020

A close family member was struggling with addiction so I paid 2000 for the first month, and 1800 for the subsequent months. What a mess this "non profit" is. Angie Keaty gave me her word that they provided treatment for the residents of the sober (if doing heroin in the bathroom means sober) house. I was told over and over that a assessment would be done within the week, and confirmation of my family members being a resident would be sent to her probation officer.

In addiction I was told that they would transport to and from outside support meetings and mental health issues would be addressed and residents taken to any and all appointments for outside help. Angie Keaty told me that the daily support groups done in the homes would be signed off for fulfillment of the legal requirements to attend meetings, however after weeks and weeks of the "visionary" spending the support meetings talking about gambling, hiring prostitures, and drug usage, as well as sexual innuendos towards the females, with some racism mixed in, none of this was ever done.

When we asked repeatedly to have her slip signed, it was treated as a joke, and we were told that confirmation of her being a resident was sent to her P.O. When we asked for a copy of the treatment assessment and or the review that was being sent to the courts, we were told that "insert fictitious name of non existent person "would take care of that, and it was never done. When Mrs Keaty was questioned about her misleading statements, she said" I never said we were a treatment center", even though on the web sight it clearly states that they are.

Public records of the registration forms filed with the state of Washington state that out of 988,ooo of revenue only 16 percent was used towards the program, however on the website for battlefield coffee house it clearly states that ALL the proceeds are used towards the program. After months of unprofessional conduct by the self proclaimed visionary, in the final 48 hours, that the main house was open it was a shitshow with Angie Keaty (who is married) having sexual relations with the fiancée of he Visionary, causing several people to quit and or be fired, and the house to be ran by the young adults in such fragile states of early sobriety.

The affair was not denied by anyone, and it was a battle to see who side people were on. This is what I would expect from a profit corporation, however when one is a fraud to get the tax breaks afforded to non profits, it is a shame, and the thousands of dollars donated have to make it past the owners gambling addiction(google his name ), and none of it trickles down to the very people they claim to want to help. One of the questions on the registration paperwork for non profits in this state is this "does this non profit have any association with a for profit company" and the checked answer is no, when the owner of the profit company that owns the homes is the very same man who is the owner of the non profit coffe house.!!!

Recently at court the probation officer told me that he never got one piece of correspondence from this shameful place, and I have screen shots of the text messages that were sent to me stating the program was accepted by the courts in Washington state. Please do your own research and go to the Washington state Secretary of State web page and do a search for non profits and "big change recovery homes, and you can see all of the papers filed showing that they have recierved hundreds of thousands of dollars, then google the owners name and see how many poker tournaments he attends. It is important to know that Amy Brooks, who was the "visionary "s fiancée, was not part of this fraud and has been supportive and helpful, as she also sees the lack of transparency and misleading of people that Art Dahlen and Amy Keaty have been doing for so long.

Do not go off my experience, do the research and you will see that they are taking advantage of families who will do anything and spend everything to help their loved ones to get better, not knowing that the money is being spent on prostitutes and poker games. I hope that they understand how shamefull their behaviour is and was, how stressful and unprofessional they were to get these newly sober kids involved in their immorality do whatever you want in your private life, but bragging about sex and commenting on the young women who lived in the house is damaging to say the least, and people like these vultures need to be held responsible for what they do in the name of a "non profit"
