I ordered some fishing lures from them and I got the lures but keep getting billed 38.60 a month for a subscription of somesort that I did not order and have never received.
They offered me free fishing lures!!! Said I just had to pay shipping. When they got me on their website, they offered me other lures at a much reduced price. It was almost impossible to get off the website, unless you purchased their product!! Now I found out today, I have a Bass Smasher Subscription I never asked for, and do NOT want!! They are taking $38.60 out of my account every month. wich caused me to be overdrawn!!
They offer "free lures" but you must pay shipping and handling. They try to get you to buy other "discounted lures" only to charge you $38.95 for a membership! They also claim to ship your product after 10 days, but I have waited 8 weeks now with no proof lures were shipped. When I inquire, they cannot produce a tracking number or tell me how they were shipped, only that the product is "in transit".... they either use turtles or sloths to ship with because for 8 weeks it has been "in transit". I threatened them with a lawyer and they refunded the extra $38.95 for the "membership" but they still haven't put the money back in my account. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE SCAM ARTISTS!!!
Offer you an additional fishing bait for $1 then without telling you, sign you up for a trial membership. After 7 days they send you an email saying your trial is up and we charged you $39 bucks for a memebership to watch acouple of videos online. After calling the rude lady on the phone says they sent you an email telling you that they signed you up for a membership and you didn't read it. Then offers you links to other places that explain this memebership you paid for but never saw. Major bait & switch!

Adding the 1 additional lure for $1.00 subscribes you to a $38.00 a month subscription to their worthless on line store and "Entitles" you to discounts on above mentioned program. When you adress the issue there is no supervisor to speak to. And when you plead your case of NOT signing up for a subscript it falls on deaf ears. DO NOT fall prey to their tactics. They give Honest people a bad name. I rarely and will never again purchase via the Web again. Run....don't use this BS. BassSmasher.. Angry As Hell.....
Bass smashers advertisement shows up on facebook and advertises a good price on some lures. When you buy the lures nothing is mentioned about a subscription to their services. At this time they send you a notice that they put you in for a trial for $1.00. You also get an email that notifies you that you are now a member of the bass master association. It's a a fairly lengthy email and at the bottom of the email this statement is made: If you love being in the BSA, do mothing and you'll be charged the normal BSA dues of $38.60 per month after 30 days from the reciept of this email. There is no contract or long term obligation and you can cancel at anytime by calling us at 866-526-9734 or emailing [email protected].
If you missed this part of the email you are automatically subscribed without your knowledge.
They also flood your inbox with emails knowing that you'll delete them. I'm assuming that this is so you delete the emails without noticing the automatic subscription. They got me for 2 payments of 38.60 before I noticed it in my bank account and canceled the subscription. I have read the comments on facebook about these guys and have also seen the many complaints that are happening with them. I know this is happening to a lot of people. I hope this can be stopped and money can be refunded.

On August 18, 2017 I atttempted to order one fishing lure costing less than $7.00 from Bass Smasher's web site. I ended up getting four separate charges for multiple lures totaling $70.50. I have tried repeatedly to resolve this issue with this company and they absolutely refuse to work with me in order to rectify this situation. They refuse to provide an address to which I can return all the excess merchandise they sent.
In my opinion this company is a rip-off and a scam. I have filed a dispute with my financial institution regarding these charges and am awaiting final disposition. Do not buy from Bass Smasher!
I was so disappointed in the crooked business practices of this company.I am 82 yrs old & love to fish.I ordered 3 lures,delivery was great.Great product!UNTIL,3 months later,my wife was notified by our credit card company.$38/mo was charged to our account.We didnt sign up for this!My banks anti-fraud division took care of the charges,thank God.If not for the blatant theft of my money,decent lures.
Others have documented the same fraudulent practices of this company. They are advertising a lot on Facebook.
They gain your billing information during normal product purchase. Then as they up-sell you the same products for discounted prices they bury language in the form of a box that you must uncheck. You are then signed up for some bogus membership for useless videos found on YouTube (so the membership has no value) and you are left with reoccurring billing charges that you then become responsible for canceling.
Upon calling them for a refund they point all the ways you could have found out about the membership. Which they then again hide in an absolute barrage of emails.... they come daily. They count on you not reading them thoroughly so they can later point it out as your fault.
Once billed they will not issue a refund or partial refund proving that would rather take you for the $38 membership fee than retain you as a customer to buy additional products. This is a bogus company with average products and worthless membership that will probably become part of a class action law suit and then surface under a new name.
Please beware and help tell as many people as you can about this horrible company.
