This bank still practices something called “Stacking the Deck” where clever software reviews accounts (especially older ones) for TRENDS such as, when deposits are made and during which periods the account “barely floats” (low balance until next direct deposit) I had over 400 dollars in my account and this morning when I checked they told me I was in the negative and didn't have anything in it. I haven't spent money in days and was saving to go out of town!
I am a nice person, trust me I really am easy to get along with and a very understanding person. I know mistakes happen; however, I have used my banking balancing technique for my bank accounts for well over 10 years with no issues and here of late BankPlus has been very shady in transaction reordering my account and recently it cost me 72.00 in fees! I understand now I can't rely on my own banks online register of my account because lately I have been making trasactions that are showing pending and out of my balance one day and then magically they go away (which adds back to my available) and then show up several days later! I check my balance everyday and substract what I have outstanding and really watch the overdraft amount because they like to change that to from time to time (by like 50.00) I also had a time not so long ago where fraud department was calling me at work and several hundreds of dollars and transactions were being made on my account...I closed account immediately and told them I did not authorize these charges (I was at work) ...we learned later on in the day that somehow my then 5 year was buying online digital games through my Amazon one click account (which was supposed to be passcode protected) on his own personal Kindle...He had NO idea what he was doing...he was just happy downloading games and had no concept of what was happening to mommy's account! The bank fought and fought with me and told me it was my problem because it was my 5 year old that did it and they were not going to help me! I had to go to bank and speak with more than one manager to get this fixed! They were rude and told me that they would NEVER help me again....If a family member took your card and went shopping without permission then it is still fruad! He was 5 not 16! Regardless......that this was a child in my household..the charges were NOT authorized...no parent that I know would allow a child to charge almost 900 dollars in online games ..especially when you only have like 400 in your checking account!
