I hired Baker's Painting/Remodeling, Chris and Melea Baker to paint three rooms and remodel a small bathroom. Throughout the job they had very poor communication and workmanship. In my opinion which has been shared by several other contractors they extreamly overcharged me and I believe they have several questionable business practices.
Chris started our job (over a week late) knowing they did not have the labor force to start. Three weeks later our bathroom was still torn down to the studs even though all the fixtures, tile and flooring had already been purchased (by us) and the majority of the total cost of the job had been paid to buy the remaining few materials and cover labor.
After over ten days of no one showing up, NO communication and discovering that he literally hired a complete stranger on my porch based off the man's word alone that he knew how to remodel, I consulted an attorney. They have yet to respond to a letter I sent on ways to resolve the issue. Everythting I've written can be proven with evidence.
