I went on the recommendation of friends. Whenever I try a new place, I want basics to see what they're working with. I went in to the carry out area and tried to explain that I wanted to turn a rib tip appetizer into a meal. The music was so loud I could barely make out what she was saying but she mentioned a side dish, so that was more I thought I was getting. The meal cost me $18+ dollars besides the tip I left in the jar. When I got home my neighbors were out so I unwrapped and showed them what I paid for, there were peals of laughter and a whole lot of anger on my part. I immediately went back to Bad Brad's BBQ for the rest of my food. Tryed to talk to the manager, who told me there was an item missing but I never heard what it was. Then he offered to make a couple of side dishes, at cost of course, but I had already spent way too much money there plus I wouldn't trust them not to tamper with my food for complaining. I just left in disgust. BTW, I eat out a lot because I'm only one person and it it's actually cheaper because I don't waste food. I can count on one hand how many times I have sent back or tried to get a refund. I normally just suck it up and never return. Oh and the smirk on Bad Brad's face on the carry out bags is Brad laughing all the way to the bank with your money. If you're in SE Michigan, you're best bet for bang for your buck would be Boneyard. Not only will you leave full but you will be taking a decent amount of leftovers home with you.
Oh one more little footnote. I live very close in this vicinity and told the counter person that I needed to run an errand around the corner, which would have really helped out my time management today. She kept telling me oh another 5 minutes or just a few minutes. That turned into almost twenty minutes but I think an employee may have missed making an order. Again speculation because I couldn't hear due to the music. I don't want to dine in a place where my dinner companions and I have to shout to hear each other.
