My husband and I attended a Vacation club presentation and we were told we could win 25,000 or a free cruise just for attending. Of course we won the free cruise which included free round trip airfare for 2. I then went home and read over all the papers they gave us about how to claim our free cruise and flights. I followed all directions and I sent them a total of 598.00 for deposit for vouchers. I then received a paper to activate my vacation voucher and faxed it on August 17, 2016. I received an email from Jason Carson from The Travel Guaranteed Group Reservation Center which is an independently owned company that specializes in making travel plans for clients of companies who sell or give out vacation packages.
The email had an attachment of a quote of what we would need to pay for our free cruise package which was 1188.54 for the 2 cruise packages for my husband and I. I emailed Jason back and told him I already sent my deposits for my free cruise and he emailed me back saying you might want to review their terms and conditions, we are aware that no cruise is free period. You must pay taxes and fees as well as follow all terms and conditions to receive what you are expecting. Of course this made me upset and I asked him if this was a scam? I received no response. Now I can't get a hold of the original company that took my money and now I have another company wanting more for my free cruise package! I'm really frustrated because Away To Paradise Vacations will not refund my money because it's been more than 120 days since I activated my package. Is there anyone that could help me get my money back?!
