Skin care product advertised at $5.00 for a trial sample.. Enclosed packing slip indicated charge of $2.00. Two charges appeared on my credit card totaling $195.82. I have so far been unsuccessful in getting this reversed.
My 71yr old father, who is on a fixed income received an inviting email for a survey RE: his satisfaction with Amazon. He took the survey, then prompted to to choose from 6 different items to receive for shipping cost only for completing the survey. My dad chose the Avila Skin care product for which he paid $5.99 for shipping. At NO point During this online encounter did i read or see any small/fine print regarding a "catch." He paid the $5.99 shipping & within a few days received the product (invoice is dated 5/27/18). Then approx 1 week later we received an overdraft notice from dad's bank stating his Acct was over drawn. Again, At no point did he agree to any type of auto-shipment this product. I immediately contacted my father's bank who then informed me he had two transactions that we couldn't account for one of $98.41, the other of $97.41. Both approx 10days apart. I contacted the # on the invoice from Avila 1-866-921-7393 on multiple occasions, speaking to different people requesting an address to return the item & a refund. The person on the phone read off some verbatim rebuttal I'm sure that pinned on their cubicle and advised me the Acct would be cancelled with no further charges. They refused to issue a refund stating refunds are against their "policy." I requested a copy of this policy be emailed or mailed to me at which time i was informed that also is against their "policy." I am currently trying to figure out if both charges are from the same place. I have cancelled dad's debit card & he now has a new one. The following are charges on my Acct: 1) bank statement dated 6/12/18 Amt of $97.41 says "RNDYRCK*AGELESSA...." & a phone # 866-8315....(the print out from the bank cut off the remainder of this box) 2) bank statement dated 6/22/18 Amt of $98.41 "POS - RIVRRUN*TRYANILI...." & a phone # 866-437-0391. I am very upset. These transactions caused my father's bank account to be overdrawn significant. He is already on a fixed income & suffers from medical problems. Its disgusting to think there are people/businesses out there who prey on naive people like my father. Since this we have opened a fraud case on these charges & a long discussion of what links & emails NOT to respond to. I Reminded him what he used to tell me "if it's too good to be true, then it usually isn't true."
I got an email saying I was eligible for a reward and all I had to pay was the shipping and handling fee of 4.99. Before I knew it a day or so later I was charged 98.41 cents from my debit card!! I’m so upset this company is fraudulent and stole from me.
Was shopping on Amazon. A questionare popped up on what i thought about Amazon and if I filled it out I get a free sample of a product. I filled out information but did not send it out but changed my mind. But it automatically sent out anyway.
I receive package but did not open it. sent it back with another package I was charged for which is 98.41. I was charged again a month later this amount even after I told them I did not want it in the first place. I receive product twice and charged twice. If I wanted the product then I would have received 3 of them which is my free sample and 2 more they charged me for after I received the free sample.
I called them and they told me to send it back. so I did. only was reimbursed for 1 of them. not the other one. they charged me again after I cancelled and they said they took me off the account. When I called customer service they gave me the run around. They wanted my private information which i did not give them. they hung up on me. The questionare i filled out on an internet page did not mention an automatic monthly payment but only a free sample. they lied about this saying that it was on there. Maybe they only knew about there web site but not secondary sites that do not mention any of this. This is a plain scam. there phone number does not accept calls anymore. You tell me!
I called them return my money which they draw from my bank account they said they can't refund . And they hang up on me they draw money from my account I didn't order anything for 98.41 they draw from my bank account for nothing.
They are very rude to customers and they lied these people are scammers and liars They took money out of my account and when I called them they were very rude and hung up on me.
I took the survey and was just about to finish the last step just before the entering of my credit card and i stopped to look for any reviews and before i even opened another internet page my phone rang and IT WAS ONE OF THEIR REPS CALLING ME FROM MY AREA CODE!!!! After i told the young lady that i was not going to order anything until I read up on it she became nasty and wanted me to order from her because she "was already on the phone with me”. I still told her i wanted to read the reviews before i ordered ANYTHING and she laughed at me and said "whatever”. I am shocked that they were watching my web activity upset me! But I see some unfortunate people purchased it and were burned real bad.
I signed up for a FREE bottle of AVILA Serum. My credit card information was entered to pay $4.99 for shipping. 2 weeks later I am being charged $98.91 for membership. NEVER did I attest to wanting to be a member it was a simple free beauty product that shipping was being paid for. Called in to request my money back CSR was rude and was not trying to listen to what I was explaining to him. I had to cancel out my debit card and get the fraud dept involved. The company was not willing to speak with the bank unless i was on the line. This company was not willing to give my money back even after speaking with the bank. They said they could give me back 50% and gave a confirmation number, needless to say the confirmation number was them charging me another $98.41.
I received the product of Avila. I noticed burning and stinging. I stopped using the product. I called the company to cancel the subscription and they still pulled money out of my account. I called again and told them they are con artist and I want my money back. The woman on the phone told me she could help me get my money back but only 30% refund. She claimed it was a good deal and if I did not take the offer they will continue to take money out of my account. I told her I am calling my bank and disputing the charges she laughed and said if I do I will not receive any money back because the bank can not give me my money back. I gave up talking to her and hung up. She called me back immediately and asked if will accept the offer of 30% refund. I said no. I'll take my chances with my bank and will report them to the proper authorities for FRAUD. I can not believe this company is allowed to operate so fraudulently. DO NOT FALL INTO VICTIM WITH THIS SCAM!!!
Oh where do I start. I've never tried this product, my son purchased it for christmas for me with my credit card and then when it arrived he wrapped it up and gave it to me under the tree. A few days after christmas I was charged 200!! I can't find anywhere on the site he bought it where it says that or on the insert inside the box.
So i emailed and was told nope, can't refund it or return it. then I made sure they cancelled it and that I wouldn't get more shipped and that I wouldn't be billed more. I still have the email that said, nope, no more shippements and no more billing. 4 days later, I get charged, the next day, new shippment.
Now I emailed them again as I went into overdraft at my bank and had written a check that will have an overdraft fee too. First there wasn't even an apology in the response, just trying to have me keep the products for $40 and they'd refund me the difference in 2 weeks. HORRIBLE. I emailed back with my extreme displeasure and asked to speak to somone higher up but the response I got back was the same but this time with I do apologize. But nothing. They'd cost me a lot of money for a product that I would never now try ever!!
I'm still trying to return them as they don't freely and proactively give you the return details until you tell them thats the option you're going with so they are just prolonging the time. It's ridiculous and fraudulant!
I had problems from start. They advertised one item, but wanted to send sample & something else. Sample was broken, they charged &98 to replace a $4.95 sample. No mention of more stuff to come, $98 the next month. My wife couldn't use the stuff, it broke her out. I have protested the chargers with my credit card company.
They refuse to refund my money for this trial period skin care line because the bottles were opened, even though I had a bad reaction to product. They say they give you 14 days but they start counting from the day you order product. I only had my product for 8 days but either way they would not refund product if it is opened, so where is the trial period? There is no written policy or terms that the consumer can read to avoid being scammed when you order products. This company is ROBBING the people blind.
I was offered a free trial of skincare from this company. It was not disclose before or after I purchase the items. it was never told to me that I would be charged the full price of the items after the ‘free’ trial. I found out once called their customer service and was then told about the $200 charge for the items. I was rudely hung up on after I insisted on more details.
I ordered skin care cream from Avila and was supposed to only pay for Shipping. My credit card was charged for $195.82! The telephone number that was linked to the charges (888-413-3978) contantly rang busy. I FINALLY found a number (888-535-4536) and got through to someone--who repeatedly said they could give me a discount and would reduce the charges on the monthly fees. Then, the rep had the audacity to say he would give me a 30, then 50% discount/refund on the money they STOLE from my account.
After about 20 minutes, I guess he got tired and FINALLY told me he would give me a full refund. I asked for confirmation on the refund AND Cancellation of the entire account. The rep I spoke to was extremely professional--but this product is complete SCAM. I did not receive ANYTHING regarding a 14-day trial or else my credit card would be charged--DONT DO IT!
I ordered a product over the inernet that stated that the product was free only requiring a psyment for shipping. The order was placed on Dec. 15, 2017. Two weeks later Jan2, 2018 my charge card was billed twice $97.41 and 98.41. The advertisement did not mention any additional fees or dollar amount. It also adveriised satisfaction guaranteed. I did a screen capture on the entire advertisement (about eight pages), no where did they mention additional fees. I called the customer service phone number (866-921-7393}, an automated answering service placed me on hold and finally discounted the call. This product is supposed to be manufactured by Gabrielle Union, she has everyone thats an "A" list actress in her marketing campaign, It's card to believe these actors would lend there names and image for this scam product.
Avila Skin Care is a ripoff. I got the product for the shipping price only. I was not informed I would be charged $94 and then $97. I used the product once and my skin broke out in a rash. When I called to get a refund, the man on the phone was rudely reading from a script without any concern of my issue. I told him I wanted a full refund and I would send the product back. He said we can't accept the product back. He said he would offer me 30% refund. I told him I should get it all refunded. He said he had to authorize a 50% refund. Needless to say I still have no resolution and only 50% of my money to be refunded is ridiculous. I will never order from Avila again, nor recommend anyone to them.
Applied for trial offer for low low price if $4.95 for a 14 day trial period. Did not realize trial period began the moment order was complete. I was automatically placed on an auto shipment for the also low low price of $98.41 monthly. If I had not called to complain I would have been receiving a cream that did nothing but collect money from me. I was offered a reduction of 50% of the $98.41 trial which brought it to $49 for 1 oz. of nothing cream.
Went on line an ad pop up free avila ageless serum just pay 4.95 shipping. so i did that checked my account they took 4.95 and 2.95. then later they took 98.41. called them one man said i couldnt get my money back hung up on me. called the bank, said i wanted to disput this she said come to bank. i called them back, a lady talked to me this time said i checked a box saying i would agree to their terms never checked any box their was no box to check a big fat lie she agree to give me back 30 percent back i said still going to bank, then she agree to 50 percent money back i said yes but later tought about it no way want all my money back they stole my money never would of ever agreed to 98 dollars not wotrh it ,cant afford that. they have to be doing this to ohter people. so wrong please help me get my money back if you can thank you clara l. patroski also she said it would take 5 to 10 days to get it back not true
I responded to an add that had Pauley Perrette (from NCIS) all over the ad, stating that she used the products faithfully. I later found out tat she said that was a scam. They offer a $4.95 introductory offer, and ended up charging my credit card $200. SCAM. Beware!
I signed up for a free $4.95 30 day trial of Avila Serum. Nowhere on the internet page were there Terms and Conditions that they would send the product, after 14 days charge your credit card $98.41 every month thereafter. After reviewing my credit card statement, I found the charge from a company called AluawSerum. I figured they were related since Avila Serum was the only product I had purchased online. I called and was told about the terms and conditions. I got angry and asked for a refund and was told they were authorized to return 30% of my money. After getting angrier, the Rep said she could refund 50% of my money. After getting to the point of yelling at her that she was a scam artist working for a fraudulent company and again asking for a FULL refund, she gave me the final option of returning the product. I said I would return it on Monday morning. After I said I would return it, she said she would allow me to keep the product and refund the full amount of $98.41. Do not allow these scam artists to walk all over you. What they are doing is committing credit card FRAUD.
