My fiance purchased a Platimum clarity enhanced solitaire diamond engagement ring 1.71ctw Size 6 in in June of 2014. He was told It was a $12,282.00 ring that they were selling for $6,141.00 and that they will send an appraisal from GAI that appraised the ring at $17,500.00. So trusting that you are getting what they tell you he went ahead and ordered the ring. He then purposed to me a few months after getting the ring. Being a guy he didn't think anything of it to have it appraised right away so me not being that type of girl to run and get it appraised I didn't take it either he had a appraisal from GAI so who would think you would need to rush and do it. So in March of 2015 I noticed that the stone was loose and it was a little big on me so I decided since I need to address the loose stone I would take it to Jared to have stone tighten and size the ring and get appraisal now that stone was loose I decided maybe it would be a good idea to get the ring insured. Little did I know the surprise I was going to get at that appointment. I brought the paper work from Avianne and the GAI appraisal and the lady that was doing my paperwork for sizing and repair said to me I am sorry to tell you but the ring you purchased on paper is not this ring she then had her manager come over to look at it and he agreed!! I then told them not to do any work to the ring I was calling the company that he purchased from. They agreed that was a good idea. I called them on my car ride home and was told they would send me a return lable to send the ring back and they would look at it and get back to me with some sort of resolution to the problem that was on March 19, 2015. I was told I would hear back from someone in a day. Never happened I had to call and I was told that they were going to change my stone they just had to find one and that they were going to remake the ring in a size 6 because the ring they sent me was a size 7 and I would have the ring back in a week. I said ok I was going out of town and wanted to make sure it didn't come back to me while I was out of town. Well that didn't happen it only got worse. I then spoke with another person there because the original guy was never there when I would call. I was told by this other guy that the stone is the right stone and they woul resize the ring and send it back with another appraisal. I told them I was not excepting the ring back unless it was remade in a size 6 and the stone was tighten they said they would not do either until I got it back and agreed that it was the correct stone. They sent ring back with another appraisal. I made appointment with appraiser at Jarads and when I went for that appointment they confirmed that the paperwork from the Appraiser and Avianne are not what I have and the appraisal company they used they never heard of before. Jarad's uses Heritage jewelry appraisal company which is very well know and the lady was shocked by what I was given by Avianne. My wedding is this September and I still have a ring that is to big and a loose stone and Jarad's refuses to work on it because of the work Avianne did with laser cutting and cracks in my ring they do not want to be responsable for the ring shattering if they try to size and tighten stone they will not even clean the ring for me so it will be nice and shinny on my wedding day. I just hope that this will stop someone else from buying from this company they are a rip off big time.
