Terrible Service

I ordered a saree online on 11 Jan and I paid FULL. Until now I havent received my order. I dont know how many times I have emailed them the "details" they needed, how many times I have texted them and call them. They read the messages but they NEVER reply. The WROST customer service EVER. I am not buying form them EVER. So DISAPPOINTED.

First of all it took them 40 days to deliver not 10 days. I kept sending them mails after mails, they didn't seem to care. When i finally received the lehenga which i pais Aud 360, this was 50% off, what i received was total garbage quality lehenga. Its so cheap quality and thin. I haven't seen anyone wear this type of lehenga seriously. Spent $70 to send it back to Malaysia. They haven't replied to any of my messsages at all. Reported them to paypal, now i wonder when i will receive that money back. They shouldnt rip prople iff like this, they made me lose faith in online shopping. This is not a kind of experience anyone should get when they are shopping for their own wedding. Don't fall for the beautiful professional pics on their site. You are better off buying at a ahop where you can check the quality. This experience disturbed my wedding planning and most importantly the budget. This created such an ugly atmosphere at home when families found out. They are just after money they dont care they are not even trying to make the situation better. I wish i could file a police case on them.

Dodgy website

I placed an order this with company more than 4 weeks ago and still haven't got the item. They have listed 4 phone numbers on the website and none of them are working. I have sent numerous emails and finally, I received a response from them advising me the product is clearing customs. I requested for a tracking number and since then I have not heard back.

Please DO NOT order from this website. I know I will not get my money back.

After purchasing an item from Avalon on 19th september 2018, it should have been delivered within 10-15 days.

However, same was not delivered within that period.

Avalon claims is that it has been blocked at clearing and according to their site it was sent using Aramex.

Being an Aramex customer myself, it only takes less than one day to clear an item and if it was blocked for any reason, they would have contacted me.

I paid for the product on 19 september 2018 and they did not ship it until I have logged a case with Paypal on 19 October 2018.

History of events :

19 September 2018 - Bought Saree for $157.50

20 September 2018 - Avalon confirm to have received money

13 October 2018 - Contacted Avalon to get a status as item should have been delivered within 15 days

15 October 2018 - Contacted Avalon again

16 October 2018 10:03 - Contacted Avalon again saying that I will open a paypal case

16 October 2018 10:40 - First response after telling them I will open paypal case.

They informed it's due to customs. But the item hasn't been shipped yet (notice how fast they responded)

19 October 2018 - I open the paypal case

22 October 2018 - The wrong product is shipped from Chennai !!! Not Malaysia !!!

25 October 2018 - Item get delivered ( but i don't know yet that it's from Avalon -its completely different)

30 October 2018 - I escalate the paypal case

3 November 2018 - Avalon provides DHL Tracking number(Now i know its not Aramex). Only then I realise that it's avalon who sent the product from Chennai and which is totally different !

11 November 2018 - Paypal accept the case in my favor and request me to send the wrong product to the seller. Why should I pay for something that the seller wrongly sent ! There is no sense. If it was the right product I would understand.

12 November 2018 - I contact paypal to know why I should pay for wrong item delivered. They inform me to subscribe for "Return is on us". I should normally get $30 refund. Unfortunately, same is not covered in Mauritius and I need to handle the return cost!

13 November 2018 - I contact Avalon so that they send me the return shipping cost - Again no answer !!!

12 November 2018 - I check online in DHL website for cost of shipping back - Around $78

14 November 2018 - I'm fed up but I want everyone to know that you are at risk of loosing your money when buying from Avalon. And Paypal should not be protecting these fraudulent companies. Paypal should impose these companies to pay for return cost when they sent the wrong item

From the receipt that was provided it was clear that Avalon shipped the wrong dress only after I logged the case. They used DHL express to get same delivered asap. But you finally end up getting the wrong item.

Now that Paypal has ruled the case in my favour, i am requested to return the wrong $20 sarees to the seller and it is costing me around $78. And best of all I would not get refund for the shipping return cost.

Hence, after paypal will refund me I will get a refund equivalent to $157.50 - Return cost of $78 = $79.5.

Who will refund me the return cost of the item. Why does paypal impose the seller to pay for return cost if wrong item is delivered !!

Further action from my side :

I will be shipping the product on 14 November 2018 but I'm afraid they might not accept the product in Malaysia. Especially because the address they provided on their website is different from what was provided by Paypal.

I will update the report after I get new updates.

I got to know avalon sarees through fb. they looked like a big boutique in fb so I thought they can be trusted. I bought a lengha from them. they told me I will get it in 1 week to 10 days. waited for more than 3 weeks and I didn't receive the lengha. when i asked the lady through watsapp, she said customs clearing. For more than 3 weeks she kept saying the same thing. finally I told her to refund back my money and I don't want the lengha. she started ignoring my msges and calls. I tried calling and msging everyday but she ignored my msges and refuse to answer my calls. there was no replies to my emails either. i realized they blocked me from fb and messenger from msging them. I suspected and googled about them. to my shock, many others went through what I am going through with them. they cheated alot of people

Filed a case in Tribunal against Avalon Sarees Online

I have filed a case against them in the Consumer Court with the help of Tribunal. I was awarded in my case since the second party didn't arrive on the hearing day. At least they could have cleared their point of view. Therefore, they have to payback my money. Even though the court has provided a written statement that they have to pay. Yet they hesitate to play me back. Now, I'm filing a case in the Kuala Lumpur Magistrate Court with the help of KPDNKK.

When I asked to to give me details of shipping like tracking info and company they shipped it, they STOPPED replying to my messages. I waited for them several weeks. Since I paid for the pdoduct though paypal, I made a dispute/claim that I did not receive the item. Paypal gave the seller 10 days to respond then they finally provided a tracking information.

I was happy that finally I was going to receive the saree. When the package finally arrived, I saw that it was the WRONG product. It was something cheap, Not same design or style or color at all. They are a fraud. Paypal wants me to ship the product back but it cost me in US dollar $45.99 to ship it back to Malaysia. I paid for the product I bought $87.50. Avalon is a SCAM AND FRAUD. Do not buy anything from them. I am going crazy going back and forth. Now I am losing money by spending more to ship the product back. DO NOT BUY. AVALON FRAUD/SCAM.

I ordered a lehenga online. The colour scheme was black and coral, colours which I liked. When I received the product , to my amazement, the color scheme was dark blue and very light pink. There are stains everywhere on the skirt. I was not happy as it was clearly overpriced for the quality and not matching my order. As the Company has a refund policy, I contacted them for a refund in accordance with their T&Cs. It's been 2 weeks now but they have not bothered to reply to any of my emails. I tried to reach out on their page on Facebook but still no reply. I cannot accept such a thing to happen. It's like I've been conned. I need my money back please!
