Autotask Corporation Reviews
We are a managed IT company who provide IT services to companies for the past 13 years. After several months of meticulous phone calls from one of the sales guys from Sales department for Autotask, our company was able to schedule an actual conference so that they could tell us more about their product. keep in mind, we've been using another competing product from LogicNow. We informed the sales guy, who was more interested in selling a product, versus actually listening to our concerns, that our existing product, called Maxfocus, met all of our needs, and that the only thing that allow us even consider their software was better pricing. We even granted the sales guy remote access into one of our workstations, and showed him EVERYTHING that mattered to our company, and stressed the significance of being able to maintain ALL of the features of our system tray icon!
The sales guy said, "we can definitely provide you with the same branded icon with all of those feature and more". He was convinced Autotask's software had the features Maxfocus's software had. He even promised other things, and assured me I wouldn't be disappointed. Well, he sends me a Docusign contract, which I gladed signed under assumption that I had been CORRECTLY informed.
After the implementation configured our account, I installed an agent on a test workstation, just to discover the sales guy lied! I emailed and called immediately, and he said he would reach out to Autotask's development department, and have them rectify the issue. What was my issue? You guessed as much, the system tray icon didn't have the option to modify the contextual menu! In fact, it lacked all of the features I enjoyed using Maxfocus. Features that play a major role in our Marketing model. I expressed my disappointment, and emailed a written letter to the sales manager and his regional manager, Andrew Negus. Mr. Negus assured me the contract would be terminated, and that this shouldn't have happened in the first place, especially after I made it very clear regarding the specific features I desired. Nothing was done! After a month of waiting, I the first bill from Autotask. I forwarded the email to Mr. Negus. He replies back, and assures me in writing that it would be handled accordingly. In other words, I will see to it that the contract, which was signed due to false advertising, was terminated!
Well, after several months, I get a call from an attorney retained by Autotask to collect money from us for a Saas product we never even used once. I can not imagine paying for a service that was sold after the sales guy intentionally lies just to get a sale! And to top it off, no one in management has the wherewithal to rectify this issue.
