In good faith, I left the showroom with a written purchase agreement from AutoNation Toyota. They would notify me when a 2013 Corolla arrived. I have the VIN number and related documents. $2000 was deposited as surety.
They promised to notify me when it came in, and to allow approximately 30 days for it to arrive. Instead, they sold the car out from under me without notifying me by phone, text, or Email.
Only after I sent a certified Email as to when my car was arriving, did they admit in selling the car to another party. In seeking a better price, AutoNation Toyota Gulf Freeway terminated the sale.
The usual practice of “getting it in writing” means nothing to this deplorable dealership.
