Our records indicate you have received multiple notices and have not contacted us to update your auto file. Please call 1-877-413-6377 today. You are receiving this notice because your factory warranty will expire or ma have already expired based on the mileage and age of your vehicle. If you have updated your coverage, please call and verify. By neglecting to replace your coverage, you will be at risk of being financially liable for any and all repairs after your factory warranty expires. However, you still have time left to activate your service contract on your vehicle for it's too late. No vehicle inspection will be required. No other notices will be sent for this offer. This will be our only attempt to contact you about your expiring factory warranty.

I had received two notices from some extended warranty company on a KIA automobile, which I don't own and have never owned. This latest extended warranty offer was from "Automobile Services Department," no address whatsoever, nothing more than that non-informative name. There was only a phone number to call, and I did call. I was offered an extended warranty on my 18-year-old car for only $186.42 for 3 years.

I said I never bought anything like this over the phone and would wait for the offer in writing. But it seemed I had to commit to the policy right then and there. I was assured that I would have a month to review the policy once it came but would have to commit to it first and pay for it. Such "assurances" mean nothing when not given in writing from a reputable company that has a verifiable address as well as a phone number.

I am almost 88 years old. I'll bet these people are targeting the elderly, thinking we all have dementia. Unfortunately for them, i do not have dementia and also use a computer. People, don't fall for this one!

Automotive Services Department

They must have a target list of VERY senior citizens. We just opened a notice from Automotive Services Department addressed to my Mother. She has NEVER owned a car, NEVER even had a drivers license, is 91 years old, blind, and has had dementia for years. I wish they would abide by their notice where they state "This will be our only attempt to contact you about your expiring factory warranty" This is the third one of these letters we have received.

scams

This is nothing but a scam; sending me a letter saying they have tried to contact me multiple times to up date my auto files. WHAT AUTO ? Some one needs to go after these scammers. They always seem to take advantage of people and get away with it.

Yes I am filling a report of this company charging me for a vehicle that I have never owned or ever had any dealings with. The harassment phone calls and charges need to stop. My credit is going under because of this and it is not me that they are looking for.

possible warranty scam

I just received a letter EXACTLY like this, with the above-described description --- and I was suspicious right away, from the very get-go, because this letter came to me without any return address or other contact information other than the telephone number, which, in my case, was 1-877-882-0147. These idiots did not even send me information to get back to them with the supposed "money" they were expecting me to pay in some obscure way, for some obscure warranty fees which I could not understand. All it said on the return address section was "AUTOMOTIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT, VEHICLE DOCUMENT/ALERT NOTICE, PERSONAL AND CONFIDENTIAL. That "personal and confidential" business also had me suspicious. Furthermore there was the statement "IMMEDIATE RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE REQUESTED. NOTICE DATE 4/14/2018. Morons! If I was supposed to "immediately" receive this notice, then WHY DIDN'T I RECEIVE IT UNTIL TWO WEEKS AFTER YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO SEND IT OUT IN THE MAIL TO ME? HUH? They also claimed that I had received "multiple notices" and had not contacted them to update my auto file --- whatever that means. Furthermore, I was warned that by neglecting to replace my coverage I would be at risk of being financially liable for any and all repairs after my factory warranty expires. WHAT FACTORY WARRANTY? MY VEHICLE IS 20 YEARS OLD! At the bottom of the letter, in extremely small print, was the statement "You have been selected to receive this special limited-time offer from Endurance Warranty Services LLC because of information in your consumer auto data file." AGAIN, WHAT CONSUMER AUTO DATA FILE, AND HOW DID I GET ON THIS MAILING LIST YOU CLAIM TO HAVE ABOUT ME, STUPIDS? I was told that my "file" on this vehicle would be deleted and that I may no longer be eligible for this offer after 5/26/2018. Meanwhile, through all of this gobble-de-gook on this single letter-sized piece of paper, there was no indication that they even knew what kind of a vehicle I have, as owed to that conspicuous and generic reference to "this vehicle." So I decided to call the number just to see what they would say if I talked to them --- meanwhile having NO intention of sending any money or giving them any personal information. But the telephone conversation didn't make any more sense than the letter. It began with that message so common for other such telephone calls "For quality assurance purposes, your call may be recorded." I was told to remain on the line and wait for the next available agent. But I didn't have to wait long at all; less than perhaps 15 seconds. Then a voice came on saying, "Thanks for calling Endurance Warranty, James speaking. All my calls are recorded and monitored for quality and training purposes. Are you calling regarding the notice that you received in the mail? YOU JERK, THIS IS TOO EASY. HOW DID YOU EVEN KNOW THAT I ALREADY RECEIVED MY "NOTICE"? I said "Yes." Then I started out with "By the way..." intending to ask this "James" why I hadn't received any of these previous multiple notices this Automotive Services Department claimed to have sent me --- but he didn't even listen; he talked right over me as he told me that he would need my vehicle code, --- which was written in a small box on the letter but which seems to have nothing to do with any so-called "code" that is actually on my vehicle. I read him the code (should I even have done that?) in a hasty attempt to get on with MY OWN AGENDA of questions which I had already planned for Endurance Warranty. But once again, he seemed totally disinterested in my questions. It was only after he demanded the vehicle code and I read it to him as information which was already on the letter that I then finally got to tell him that I had received no prior notices. Then this jerk assumed this very UN-businesslike, VERY unprofessional stance that most ridiculously resembled a parent trying to calm down a fearful, frightened, anxious child as he said, very soothingly, "Okay, okay, that's fine, it's okay. There's no need to be up in arms about it all. It's just warranty coverage that we can provide. Meanwhile, he was still talking over me as I was still trying to talk. YOU PENIS, BY THIS POINT IN THE CONVERSATION I DON'T EVEN WANT YOUR WARRANTY COVERAGE! WHY WOULD I EVEN WANT WARRANTY COVERAGE FROM SOMEONE WHO WON'T EVEN LISTEN TO ME EVEN THOUGH YOU SAY EVERYTHING'S OKAY? YOU DON'T EVEN SOUND LIKE YOU'RE IN A COHERENT STATE OF MIND AS YOU TRY TO SOLICIT MY PARTICIPATION IN THIS WARRANTY COVERAGE PROGRAM YOU'RE TRYING TO OFFER ME, URINE BAG! He then went into a bla-bla-bla, machine gun-kind of ramble about how they could provide me warranty coverage under this and that condition, less than 20 years old, under 200,000 miles, bla-bla-bla, I can take my vehicle to any certified repair shop nationwide...REPAIR SHOP CERTIFIED BY WHOM, YOU FART? After a bit more of talking, and after I told him that my vehicle is a 1998 vehicle with 132,000 miles on it, he then told me that because the vehicle is 20 years old, meaning that it is no longer eligible, saying that if "we" had sent this letter out last year, that would have been the last that they would have been able to help me with their warranty. He than asked me if I own any other vehicle. I said no. He then reverted back to that stupid pretend parent as he said soothingly, "No worries, no worries. I'll go ahead and mark you down as not driving a vehicle at this time, or excuse me, not being qualified at this time, and I'll remove you from the mailing list so you don't receive any more in the future." YOU STUPID, I SAID NOTHING ABOUT NOT DRIVING A VEHICLE AT THIS TIME, YOU STUPID INCOHERENT, DEMENTED IMBECILE! He continued, "I thank you for your time, have a great day, and enjoy the rest of your week. YOU STUPID, HOW CAN YOU SAY "HAVE A GREAT DAY" WHEN IT'S 8:00 IN THE EVENING, THE DAY IS ENDING, AND IT'S GETTING DARK OUTSIDE? He then hastily acted like he was going to hang up --- but I did manage to insert, about three different times, the question of why I hadn't received these notices earlier. But he didn't answer my questions to my satisfaction, insisting that he was not certain about what might happened previously, but unfortunately, he couldn't answer my questions because he is not in the marketing department and he only qualifies vehicles. He said he wouldn't know whether they had tried to contact me previously and had been successful, insisting once again that I had been removed from the mailing list. That was the end of the conversation. Now for a final note: He told me that he was recording my conversation, but what he didn't know was that I was recording HIS conversation and got it word for word because I suspected that this was going to be an interesting telephone call, and it was indeed.

I, Yvonne Alvarado, have received a document in the mail sent in my name and residual address only to find out that the company who sent me this letter was trying to receive payment on a debt for repairs of a vehicle that is not in my possession; nor has this vehicle ever been in my possession. I would like at this time to report this company as a scandal, someone who is trying to steal your information and take your money. If you do receive this document in the mail report them immediately.
