Do Not Do Business !

With ASI or AUTOECU they do not stand behind their work or their products. My ECM failed and all they did was insist nothing was defective so I sent it to a Certified 3rd party lab and the ECM was defective with due to a loose processor pad and unrepairable.

ASI aka AUTOECM hides behind all their policies and does not accept responsibility, they charged me

1) $350 for a core

2) $1150 for a ECM and

3) $150 for a lifetime warranty.

Total CONSUMER FRAUD and unwilling to make any adjustments.

Complaint Description:

Nothing But Liers & now holding $802.53 of my money On 12/30/2015 I called and spoke to a man named *"Will"*. Several times while speaking to this person I told him how fast I needed the ECM and he told me time and time again the item was in stock and would ship the same day. He also said "if its not in stock here we will ship from our Florida location at the latest in the morning" (that would be 12/31/2015).

I told him I could just come pick it up in Rogersville as its only about an hour away and after being insured it would ship on 12/30/2015 I decided its only a one day ship time so I agreed.

On 1/04/2016 I called and spoke with a guy that said he was the manager and was told it didnt ship on 12/30 and wouldn't have shipped on 12/31/2015 because they weren't open to ship. The "manager" then said he checked and it had just come off the tester (Monday 1/4/16) and if it made the truck it would ship today or tomorrow at the latest (Tuesday 1/5/16).

On 01/06/2016 I called to cancel the order when the lady that answered told me to hold then got back on the phone and said "the manager said he told you the item would ship toad or tomorrow". I told her that was a lie because he said that Monday 1/4/2016. I then told here to refund all my money because they are nothing but liers and I needed this part. The lady then informed me that "our return policy is that they will refund in about 30 days". I told her that was crap because they took my money before we were even off the phone and this was not a "return" but a refund for being lied to. The lady then hung up on me. I want every cent of my money back from order #4538 $802.53 . If you dont have the item or couldn't ship there is no reason to lie to people and hold their money as some kind of ransom.

I have filed fraud complaints with the BBB, The bank and the credit card service because these people are now holding money they lied to obtane and wont refund it.

I was having problems with my anti lock brake module. My mechanic removed the module and sent it to American scientific for repairs. They quoted my mechanic $175 to repair the module and to replace the broken case. When I called to pay for the module repairs they charged me $275 and claim they knew nothing about the previous quote. I was desperate to get my truck running again and thought if I had my module repaired I could retain my programming and would not need to go to the GM dealer and pay to have my module reprogrammed this was completely wrong. My module have lost all its programming somehow during the repair and now I am unable to communicate with it. Now they say they need the module back and I have to pay another $30 to ship it and have them keep it for another couple weeks. I cannot do this I need my truck up and running. I'm willing to buy a new module which now I found out only cost $100 and the dealership is going to charge me another $100 to program it. It would have been much cheaper just to do that in the first place! Now they say they don't have any record of me ever being a customer even though I give them my name address invoice number and times and dates they did the repairs. So I filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau and they told the BBB they don't know who I am. So since they don't know who I am I filed a grievance with my credit card company and claim this credit card fraud! You have to beat these guys at their own game. I have my own rules and expectations when it comes to doing business with companies and they violated my procedures and guidelines!

Sept. 20 2015 sent in my instrument cluster to be tested/rebuilt. I had called previously and was told 2-3 business days. After I sent in I waited the 3 full days to call only to find out they were just getting to it and it would be longer. After another 3 buisiness days I called again and they state they have never encountered the problems I was describing on the form I sent in. I stated the oil guage was flexuating and one of the warning lights was out. The insturment cluster is full of guages and lights. Thats it. So I was confused as how they rebuild these things every day yet couldn't fix a simple burned out light.

After I called a fourth time they said they tested it and every thing was fine. I had prepaid for a rebuild and 2 day delivery back to me. Call 5 I made a week and a half after they had the part on a Thursday and the guy told me it was being processed and had missed the cuttoff for that day but would ship Friday. Friday afternoon I called because I still did not recieve a tracking number. They told me it had missed the cutoff again but would be out first thing Monday morning. Monday morning I call for the 7th time. I was told I was going to get a refund and that it needed to be processed through one of their departments and then it would go out first thing Tuesday morning. I called 2 minutes after they opened on tuesday only to find out, guess what..... IT STILL did not make the cut off..... At this point Im done. I spoke to the manager who personally assured me he would get it out that day and email me the tracking number. And yes I did review all the info with him. Wednesday I called only to have them say it would be sent out that day as it missed the cut off.... I kid you not.

At this point who do you complain to? The manager lied so of course all of his people are going to lie as well. It finally made it out and I recieved it..... BROKEN. I filed a complaint to Pay Pal and ASI said I stated it was broken on the form I had sent in to rebuild it and I recieved it back in the same condition I sent it in. They lied again. So I complained to BBB and we'll see. Oh and the "refund" I was supposed to get was the difference of $11 because they just tested it and didn't repair it. They use generic forms that you can type out whatever you want and print it ... So the form they said I stated where it was broken they could have EASILY just retyped it and printed it...

I know it seems like my thoughts are all over the place but this is litteraly how they run things. Take my advice and DO NOT EVER, EVER, EVER send something into these idiots.

Update- I had the truck tested for almost $300 for the electrical problem because ASI said the cluster was good, The cluster had a blown resister in it. I needed to get a new one because no one in town would rebuild it. Heres the kicker... its $500 plus $250 core. I cant use the core because it was cracked by these theives. A new cluster is now going to run me $750. I wasn't asking for the $250 just a refund of my initial $89. I still never recieved my partial refund either...

So thank you ASI for teaching me that humanity is still screwed.
