If you decide to fix your car through a garage of your choice, you are not covered cause those garages are not "Authorized reapair facilities". If you go to their authorized repair facility, the bill is triple the average so your coverage minus the bill, leaves you with the amount you would have paid at your garage if you had No warranty in the first place.
NO money ever changes hand between Autogard and their authorized garages, so you always get to pay their bill. The garages look at that as an intangible kick back to the warranty company in exchange with guaranteed work volume.
In reality the coverage promised to you is just imaginary!! either is is NOT covered or you pay their bill and assume you were covered!!
GET a quote from your garage first before going to theirs!! If that does not work call OMVIC at 416-226-4500 and file a complaint agaist the dealer who sold you the car!!

I had a water pump go after 9 months. I had to submit oil change invoices and ownership and even the bill of sale. That should have been done by Redline Auto where I bought the car. Odd stipulations.
Anyway, I submit the claim for the waterpump and it was denied. They stated I needed to have had selected the Powertrain Plus add on coverage. I selected the Platinum Powertrain ALL IN top package. ALL IN means ALL IN. The Value/Flex packages get the optional coverage selections.
Total bait and switch shyster move by the company. File BBB and Quebec equivalent complaints on this company.
I purchased a 2011 Audi S4 from a prominent luxury car dealer who offered an Autoguard Advantage Warranty. They stated this was the most comprehensive warranty on the market and all if any issues with the vehicle would be fixed if any were encountered. Well I now 2 years later have an over heating issue with my vehicle. I called the warranty company Autoguard who referred me to one of their approved repair shops to find out that the thermostat was not covered and I would have a $1000 bill to pay for. On Autoguards warranty paperwork it says "Heating & Cooling System" so I proceeded to contact Autoguard to see what the issue was, they rudely informed me that it was not an approved part and it is not covered, there no explanation just a dial tone after I was trying to escalate the issue. Last I heard from every mechanic I have spoken to was that a thermostat was the major part of the heating and cooling system. What a joke. This is one warranty I would stay clear from
Here is my experience with this car warranty company called Autogard Advantage. i brought the 3 year powertrain plan through the used dealership that i paid extra $3000 for it.
After a year and half my car's turbo breaks down and then i file claim from them. they asked me to provde all the information(ownership, tow truck invoice, servce invoice, estimate to repair of the car), which i provded all.
A week later i called and follow up for the claim again and they said they couldnt approve the claim because i do not have a prove of the oil change payment and it has to be with credit card transcetion or bank statment to prove i paid for that even i have the invoice of it.(yes i have the invoice and cant prove that what a fXXking funny excuse)
oil change is not very expensive service so evertytime i do i made a cash payment and the invoice is the only prove. but they tell me the policy said i am not suppose to paid for it by cash.( you got to be kidding me ).
plase dont buy anything from Autogard Advantage they will just take your money and sit back, when you really need a service they would just make you more headache or make up some bs excuse to not paid for it. i also dont understand why the used car dealership will recommand this scam of a company to the customer.
