I live near 200 miles from this dealership. Many promises were made by both a salesman AND the owner. They were well aware of the distance I'd be traveling and I would've thought they'd have been prepared for my arrival! Not only were they NOT prepared, they both were a bit "sketchy" in their dealings. The advertised price was NOT as stated, the dealer refused to speak with me about the vehicle and, in fact, after the LENDER caught the problem, I contacted Auto Barn. Honor Finance seems quite reputable but they are now fully aware I put down $850.00 on the vehicle, originally $6,998.00, yet I STILL have a loan for $8,000.00. Doesn't make sense to any rational human. I was simply overcharged and when dealer was contacted, I received two completely different answers. Paul Lu hung up on me when he was caught in his own web! The car was not prepared, the documents were not prepared and, from the onset, nothing but untruths! The lender is looking for another dealership for me. I received absolutely NO documents prior to leaving this "dealership!" All erroneous documentation and quite a rip off! Paul Lu still has my personal documents, charged for tax, tag and title, although I have a tag not due until March 2018 for taxes. Title transfer I understand but almost $500, I don't understand! Dealership fees $895.00? That doesn't happen in South Carolina, my home State! Mr. Lu can take his car, give me my money back and cone get his junk! My attorneys are one of the largest in the SE, the Lender us Honorable but Paul Lu, not at all! Evil! There are some issues I've had with the car but will have it returned, near 200 miles away! I refuse to do business with dishonest people! After some research, I found Paul Lu filed bankruptcy in 2010. My attorney has been contacted and WILL be dealing with this junk yard soon enough!
Paul sold us a Honda Civic Hybrid that broke down when we tried to drive it home. He took the car back to make reapirs and kept it for 5 weeks. He blamed it on the way I was driving. I drove it approximately 7 miles. After 5 weeks we went to drive it home and the transmission fluid came out the bottom of the car in our drive way. We had it towed ourselves after 4 days of him telling us the tow truck was on the way. Had it another couple days. Picked it up and the check engine light was on.
We took it to the Honda dealer and there was a laundry list of problems. He sold us a car with a bad catalytic converter that the mechanic said could not of passed emissions. Filed a complaint to have the emissions test investigated. The car needs $7000 worth of reapirs. The whole time we were looking at the car to purchase Paul kept telling us this will be a very good car for you. Lied right to our face!! I do not recoment this dealer. Check Auto Barn Atlanta's Face book page other customers will tell you the same thing.
