We found a camper for sale on craigslist. I send the individual an email. (Dr. Wendy Sanford) She stated that the camper was at a consignment store in Miami, Florida and I would need to contact Auto Sales House if I was interested in buying it. We did so and everything seemed legit. The owner informed us that she would pay for shipping up to 1,000 miles. The auto sales house claimed that they inspected everything they sell and if it was not as described in the ad, then we had 7 days to return it at the owners expense. They also said that the money we wired to their bank account would be held in a trust fund for 7 days until we decided if we wanted it before they would deposit the money. They sent us a purchase agreement and other paperwork. They had several reviews on their website that were positive so we assumed that we would be ok. I called the number on the website and could not get thru but sent them a message on the online chat and requested a call back. I figured if I actually talked to somebody from this place I would feel better about the situation. I did in fact get a call back from a Miami phone number and the man answered all my questions I had. He in fact was a foreigner. (Which should have been my first clue.) Once our bank wired them the money and the camper was supposed to be on its way, they sent an email stating that they had some problems and the shipment was going to be delayed. Then I knew that it was a scam. I emailed them and told them it was not acceptable and we wanted a refund. They did say that they would refund our money within 48 hours and of course we have never received it. I called the bank that we sent the money to and it was withdrawn an hour after we sent it to them. Hard lesson learned. I notified the authorities. I hope they find these thieves and put them in jail where they belong!!!
Thet offered a Motor Coach on thier site. Several other sites Showed high recommendations. I agreed to the price upon whichh they sent me a bill of sale and an invoice to wire money to thier bank. I did they sent me a confirmation and promised delivery in 5 days. Then I recieved note that they were putting it on a trailer and it was on the way.
I realized that the height of the coach on a trailer would not allow it under bridges. I treid to contact them with no telephone answer. The internet site and all recokkending sites were taken down.

Was trying to buy a boat on Craig's List. The seller refered me to a third party, Auto Sales House. The third party did not have a Google presence, at all, but did have a web site that was only accessible by a link provided by the seller in an email. The web site was very professional, but there multiple red flags - Locations not existent, fictious people, not connected to Google, promised free shipping on a boat and 7 day money-back guarentee. Seller was not willing to connect by phone. After I alerted them that I was on to them, the email link did not work.
