My Dodge Ram 1500 truck was not charging the battery. I bought a new battery, new alternator, and new battery temperature sensor. NO LUCK !

Since the voltage regulator for the alternator IS within the PCM engine control module I had no choice. I ordered a rebuilt one from Auto Module Source. The first they prepared (since it must be "flashed" to our particular vehicle specs) they said "DID NOT test well", so they DID NOT send it. I installed the module I received. It worked for two days and died. I called Auto Module Source, and was told they would send a REPLACEMENT immediately, which they did. When that replacement arrived, I went out to move the truck to the garage to replace the original. When I started the truck the original came back from the dead. It was charging the battery PERFECTLY. Now I have the REPLACEMENT they sent also. I called Auto Module Source back to get instructions AND I asked if I may keep this replacement BEFORE sending it back to be certain the original WAS in fact alright. NO argument with them WHATSOEVER. My truck is running better now then it has in years.

Auto Module Source went FAR above and beyond to help me get my truck back on the road. I SAY A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL THE FOLKS AT AUTO MODULE SOURCE for helping me SO much.

I bought an ECM (electronic control module) from them. It went bad and they sent me a replacement before I sent them the core (defective one). My Jeep wouldn't pass inspection and I didn't know if it was worth repairing. I called Auto Module Source and ask them if I should return the replacement or hold on to it until a decision was made. I did this so they would not charge me $400.00 for not sending my core back in a timely manner. They instructed me to return the replacement ECM and it wouldn't be a problem getting another one if I fixed my Jeep. I got my Jeep fixed so I called them to get another one sent. They told me they couldn't send another one until I sent my old one back.

I had explained to them that I use this vehicle to deliver mail and I need it every day. It still run and is serviceable but the check engine light is on and give an ECM code just like it did before. They said that now it is past 30 days but not out of the one year warrenty and because it is past the 30 days I have to send my core back first. If they had told me that when I called about sending the replacement back to them I would have just kept it. They than would have charged me the $400.00 core charge on my credit card and than credited me that same $400.00 back when I sent the core. Now they won't send me another ECM because I am past the 30 days but when I first reported the problem to them it wasn't.

I WOULD NOT DEAL WITH ANY COMPANY THAT HAS THIS POOR OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased a dodge PCM from Auto Module Source. The PCM did not fix my problem and I was told that I was initiating the return within the 14 days so no restock fee would be charged. The return was started and the item was shipped before 14 days, they have tracking information to confirm this. I checked after the item was delivered to find they had in fact charged me a restocking fee. I called in to inquire why and was told that the pcm arrived at 16 days and they were charging the restock fee.

I explained that I had been told by both the sales department and a manager in the warranty department that I would not be charged the restock fee. This morning they called and told me (after what has now been over 3 weeks) that they were going to charge me the restock fee after all. Its not the money that bothers me, its being lied to twice by two different departments and having to call in for 3 weeks to get an answer. At best its bad communication in customer service, at worst its lying to the customer and fruad.
