After responding to an internet ad for more information about this companies services I was contacted to schedule a meeting or what I thought was an informational meeting. Afer arriving, I waited for over an hour before finally meeting with the owneer of the company. He proceeded to review a background check he did on me that I did not authorize (I did not check the box giving them permission to run one). He went to tell me he was like the character in LIE TO ME Tv show and was trained to know if people were lying or not. He sold the benefits of his program mainly by saying her personnally screens evereyone in the program and does the background checks to make sure everyone is a quality person. At the end he pressured me for an answer and told me if I didn't say yes I would be banned from their services for life. I didn't listen to the little voice in my head and run, instead I agreed to use their services. Once I left his office, his wife asked for my credit card and had me wait in the back. When she returned she had gave me my credit card receipt and after I signed it (without realizing their was NO refunds, cancellations or recessions of any kind on the bottom, she then gave me the paperwork. No one ever discussed that you could not cancel for any reason. When I saw it on the back of the contract, I felt like they already had my money and I was still optimistic it would be a good service so I signed all the paperwork. Once I got home and started processing the information I had been told, it became clear to me they would not be able to provide me with many if any quality dates. The owner told me they have 5000 members but only about 1500 active members. When I asked him the male/female ratio he said it's 10% more felmale. When I really started thinking about it, I realized there would be well under 100 candidates to choose from (and that's being optimistic due to age and other factors). I contacted my credit card card company to dispute the charge and they basically lied and said they went over the contract andd cancellation clause with me which is not true. They hide behind their legal maneuveres to steal your money. The biggest complaint I read about this company is the lack of dates. If the company is so upstanding and ethical they would not require an aqnswer in the first meeting and they would not have a no cancellation policy. Shame on me for not listening to my inner voice. It was an expensive mistake and one I want to warn all consumers about. Whatever you do, don't trust this company. It is not an ethical business. I will not use their service because I have such a bad taste in my mouth. I don't want to have anything to do with a company that tricks people and preys on their emotions at a vulnerable time. Beware and run away.
It sounds like I wrote your post. You are spot on with everything. I got the same, same, very same story. I can only SMH because as smart as we might think we are those people made complete fools of us. I have not gotten one hit from anyone on that site. I am giving away over $2000 to those people, notice I said giving away because I'm not paying them for anything. We pay for services or products that benefit us and I have received NOTHING but shame for making this horrible financial decision.
I went to Atlanta Professional Singles (Atlsingles.com) and they had "sales interview" where they falsely claimed they are BBB accredited with an A+ rating. Lied about a photo shot and what you would receive for your $3000.00.
So far they have provided nothing, no photo shot, no return calls. This company is a complete fraud and ripoff and I demand a refund.
I inquired in April 2017 about Atlanta Quality Singles after some research online for a dating service. I called to inquire about their services and an appointment was scheduled. The day I went to the appointment I met with a guy named Dee.
He began telling me about their dating services and how they do a complete background check on everyone and they had a wide range of single men to choose from. He gave me a brief background of himself and told me that he had experience in psychology and that he was good at knowing when people lied. He started asking me questions about myself and then explained that the cost to join would be a price of $5000.00 for a lifetime membership. I explained to him that was not affordable to me and I would not be interested.
He then proceeded to say are you not important enough that you wouldn't want to invest in your happiness and future. I told him yes my happiness was important, but I still could not afford that price. He then offered me a discount rate and stated that it was a one time offer with installments. He stated I would need to decide that day or I would not have another opportunity with their company. At that time I felt pressured into the sale and went against my better judgement.
Since joining this dating service I have not talked to anyone or went on a date with anyone from their site and it's been almost a year. When I spoke to Dee about my concerns later he stated that there were a good selection of men on the site and I was probably being to picky.
I feel I have been scammed by this company and I am interested in filing a small claim suit against them. They should not be able to just take people money and not provide the service they promised them. I would advise anyone not to use this dating service. Don't believe the hype from them!!!!! They are a fraud....
This was one the most horrible financial decisions I've ever made. I supposedly received a discount for ATLSingles services but it was a total ripoff. I signed a contract over a year ago with this company. I have never met anyone from the "Professional dating site" nor have I ever conversated with any of the members on the site. I notice many of us have reported this company but they are still in business. I don't understand why and how they are allowed to continue ripping innocent singles off with a bunch of lies and it is not public knowledge within the Atlanta area.
A person cannot review their site before getting pulled in this racket because the employees don't provide the site information while talking with them on the phone. The most horrible piece of this travesty is AtlSingles don't finance the services, we pay a financial institute as if we are repaying a loan because we are not paying for services rendered by anyone. These people are receiving free money without providing any services. This is totally embarrasing to me and I'm sure others because we all probably thought "we were too smart to fall for this trap".
Below is quoted from a different user (My experience was completely identical.):

I want add this:
The above was written by someone else, but his story is EXACTLY EDENTICAL TO MINE, almost to the same words. I'll also add that the "He" discussed in the story is a man that everyone in the building would only refer to as "Dee" or "D". I should've seen that alone as a huge red flag. The voice in my head kept telling me "he's hiding from something", but I ignored it trying to be conversationally agreeable. They charged me $5000 for their service that I didn't use. Almost 3 weeks after joining I was laid off and couldn't afford their charges. I called AQS to "freeze" my membership remembering the no cancellation clause and their lifetime membership policy, but they told me to talk to Conrad the finance company. The Conrad people were nice, but said they wouldn't cancel the billing. Now, I'm considering bankruptcy to try to escape their aggressive con job. They seemed legitimate, but it was clearly a con, and the first one I've ever fallen for.
Of course, I feel like a total sucker. My credit was very good before them. Now this!
First, this company cannot produce what it say it can produce. This person who is possibly the owner runs background checks on clients before explaining what they can do for you. Further, he has a book full of peoples identies that he say are criminals that he will not work with. I am thinking this is illegal. Then, he pressures you to sign papers without giving you the opportunity to think about what they have to offer and tells you that if you do not sign with this company, he will make it difficult to use any other type of dating services. Not sure how he can do that; however, I told him I was not interested as it was more than I can afford, he said that's okay he will work with you. I still said no but he proceeded.
Since I have never used these services because something did not seem right about the way this company does business, I am continously harassed to make payments on services that were never rendered nor did I purchase. Further, he (John) said he has my credit card number. When I asked what were the last four number of the credit card he gave me some numbers. The only problem is that I have not had a credit card in 14 years at that time (17 yrs todate); therefore, I knew he was lying. This John person continued to lie to me about paying the debt and if I did not I could go to jail and be sued. He was told that no services were ever rendered and that I did not owe the money. He continued to yell at me as did the previous person. I asked John several times to stop yelling at me and he refused at which time I hung up the phone.
You are not alone. I agree with everything you say. I got the same story, felt the same uneasiness about signing the documents and on and on and on.......I have given my money away to these crooks and believe me I can think of so many positive, good, needy areas I could have given that money. FEEL LIKE A COMPLETE FOOL!!!!

Thank you for the warning- too late, they got me too...
My research on them came too late. They got me for $1,800. What a fool!
