I usually do not leave reviews but this experience with Atlanta Partners has been CRAZY. After I had already submitted my application, submitted necessary documents, and paid all my fees. I was sent an informal email stating that my application had been canceled and that i would not receive any refund!!? Why? They claimed I did not submit everything. This is untrue I had spoken with Ashley Waterfill two days prior to today and she assured me everything was fine and that we would be able to rent out the property. This was after I had sent numerous emails to Ashley and left several voicemails, I was finally able to get in contact with her and she made it seem like everything was okay. I found out today that the property was rented out a week ago. At this point my mother has given notice at her current rental property. According to a friend of mine this company purposely leaves listings online after they have been rented, so that they can collect application fees (NONREFUNDABLE FEES) then later say your application was denied/cancelled.
At this point I have been asking to speak with Kathleen Teare who is the director of the management company she has not contacted me once! I asked Ashley for Kathleen Teare's direct line and/or a corporate number she stated "that is not something you need". I am currently still waiting on Kathleen,s call, which will probably never come. I took it upon myself to drive to the office after I told Ashley I would stop by if i did not receive a call. Conveniently, they were both in the office. I asked for the corporate number she stated she would grab someone who could help. I have never been so disrespected in my life. An elderly woman named Julie Milner claimed that the gentleman who could help me from corporate (which is located upstairs) was not in today either. SIGH. She stated that the application concerning my mother and I, had nothing to do with me and began yelling at me to leave. When I asked her why, she stated because it doesn't concern me and I need to leave. She was very hostile towards me and very incredible rude. She treated me as if I was illiterate. Is it because I am a woman of color? I am educated and I have a college degree as does my mother. The way I was spoken to was uncalled for.
I am still waiting on my reply. I just wanted to let others know about my experience and to beware. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Quick advice to others just choose another rental property.
