Atlanta Medical Day Spa Dr. Debra J. Atkins Atlanta Medical Day Spa Dr. Debra J. Atkins Botox made a mess of my face Doctor didnt warn me of the risks Marietta Georgia
On December 20th I gave my partner a refferrel to a new Doctor that my freind was using(she stopped going also very unhappy with her results). He went to the office for a consult and she told him that he should buy a package deal of 3 fraxels 3 facials 1 botox 1 juvederm 1 restylane and he told her he will have any injectables and she said this package will save you money and you can switch out the injectables for extra fraxel or facials and he aggreed. He recieved his first fraxel the next saturday. When I saw him he had red and white blotches all over his face and he said that it would go down in a week so we waited. His skin began to clear up and it started to look smooth and plastic and I asked him if had a Botox injection and he said he would never do that so i dropped the question and we went on with our life. He went back 2 weeks later and recieved his first facial and his skin began to peel away the dead layers. He looked very smooth and almost plastic and again I asked him if he had a Botox injection and he replied no no no I will not do that ever. After the facial we began to notice that the fraxel had caused his eye area to wrinkle much more than before and he was very unhappy with what he was seeing. He went in for a checkup and she said that she could help those wrinkles with a Botox injection and he was so unhappy and imbarresed that he reluctantly aggreed to have injections. She pursueded him just a little just to try it.She didn't warn him of the risks associated or did she even go into that it is only FDA approved for the Gabrielle lines (FDA's WEBSITE www.FDA.gov) I returned home on monday after his injections and I asked him what had happened it looked like he had aged 10 years his eyes were swollen and puffy his forehead looked plastic and shiney and his crowsfeet had became so pronounced that they looked like waffles. He had needle marks all over his face. His forehead wrinkles on the left side were gone and the right side were still there he almost looked clownlike. This doctor doesn't have your best interest at heart she plays a good game. He said she coearsed him into the injectables and he was imbarresed to tell me. Now that I showed him the risks from the FDA's website he said he would have never had it done if she would have told him. I met with Dr atkins and she told me that it isn't FDA approved except the Gabrielle lines however doctors use medicines in different ways. I feel that it is the responsibilty of the doctor to tell you if your going to be a part of test group. She also forgot to check his chart and see that he had history of strokes in his family and Botox should not be used in that case. She put his life at risk. Beware of this doctor she is only out for your money. I went to her office and met with her about my concernes and she tried to smooth it over with me however i see right through her fake smile. I overheard he say that she needed a new grill and in her next comment she said i guess i will have to do an extra fraxel today... She also told me she hired a bunch of mexicans to finish her office because they were cheaper and you sure can see it in the quality of the finish in there. Don't forget to look at the wrinkly carpet in the hall that shows me she is cheap and I wouldn't be suprised if she doesn't reuse Botox needles just to save a buck...

After our investigation we do not believe that the report that was written was fair as the author was not an atlanta medical day spa customer, but a partner that wanted access to his partner's records. So even when pressured dr. Atkins refused to break the hippa code of confidentiality she had with her patient and that cost her a report on our web site.
Dr. Debra atkins, the owner of atlanta medical day spa, stated we carefully consider all patient concerns as constructive criticism and we try to set expectations before any treatments are given so that we avoid any misunderstanding. Our patients are the face of our business and their satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us. We value our team members and our patients above all else, and look forward to continually serving all of them in such a way that they have a positive, professional, personable and memorable experience at atlanta medical day spa.
