They offer you a credit card with a code and acceptance form.They then decline you,Report it on your credit file with all 3 bureaus,as an "inquiriy",When they are the ones that initiated contact with me in the 1st place.This is wrong,Stay clear of this outfit.
On november 5 2016 I received a pop up screen that held my browser I could not move it and was frozen . It said do not closed down your computer.
I called the number listed at aspire and they told me my computar had 30 malaware /virsus . They said they needed my permission to enter my screen and i let them .they claimed to be microsft technicians .
then they said it would take $100 dollars to clean up my computar and I would guaranteed a year free of virsus ,and personal tech support thoughout the year .
Naturally I paid it since I only had a free antivirsus ADVAST ,will on 12/8 a month later that same screen came up and was told to call support -procare
and told me that aspire not only ripped me off but did not add a malaware protection . I was assurred this companay was legal and felt comfortabel but had to pay $150.00 to remove and add software on my computar .
as you can see i am filing this greivance to let others know and to have my credit card company reinburse me I did call tht aspire phone #and a voice recording said have a nice day .
We had the same experience. Our computer was frozen. The computer screen showed us a message that promised us if we called the noted phone number, they could fix our problem. They also identified themselves as Microsoft people. We felt safe because of that. The person I talked to had an Indian accent. That surprised us, being from Microsoft and all.
We were told that our computer would be fixed and after that, we could call them anytime to fix whatever problem we had.
All we had to do was pay $212.49. Needless to say, we got nothing for our money.
I wish there were some way we could get some satisfaction. Thanks for what you do.
