Ashworth College Reviews

Ashworth College is a total scam! This is a third time that I enrolled with Ashworth College. When I first enrolled for a third time, the agent told me that I would only have to pay $799.00 for each Semester. It sounded convincing, therefore I paid

for the first semester without hesitating. The suspicious action I noticed, that when I had taken test quizzes and passed the tests, every test I'd taken had disappeared and I had to retake tests all over again. Moving forward... I called to Ashworth College on 05/10/2023 and I explained it to the female Agent that I could not afford to pay $1,684, so she said, 'hold on let me see if I can lower the cost." She returned, and told me that I would only have to pay $955.00 for the second semester.

Here's the scam, when I checked my email and read the enrollment agreement I were shocked! For the second semester, a charge in the amount of $1,684, shipping fee $40, and I never received any text books in the mail or no materials by postal mail. The enrollment agreement for the entire Assocites Degree program is $7171, but that's affordable?

It gets better than that!!! On their website the full tuition cost per semester for Computer Information Systems is $1,499.00, last week the cost on their website were $1,399. So why in the h--- am I being charged $1,684.00! Those people are changing their prices everyday it seems. I had very good reasons not to sign that enrollment agreement for a second semester.

There are too many people complaining and the so many bad reviews about Ashworth College. And there are no guarantees that a person will get a job after graduation. I used to trust Ashworth College, I no longer trust them.

I normally don't do this -- I don't complain or report people. But I am concered with the quality of service here.

I recently graduated a certificate program in veterinary assisting. I began looking into colleges to obtain my degree as a certified veterinary technician. I found Ashworth back in October.

I have been requesting information for at least five months. They have a veterinary tech program page, I found that. I looked at it. Normally a college sends you information about a program when you request it. Colleges prepare that kind of stuff as a sort of advertisement. Whomever you chat with to get help, they don't help. I seem to get a "Diamond" character and they, in a way refused to send me information, and when I called them out, they back tracked and said that the information online was better. Maybe so, but don't refuse. "I sent you the link." After stating that I've requested information several times, they finally stated that "You'll have to wait until it is sent to you."

The really concerning thing? When you piss them off, they IGNORE you. I am not kidding you. The rep will NOT respond. So inappropriate.

Seriously guys? Seriously?

I've been to college fairs and even the tiniest of colleges still have informative pamphlets pertaining to the program of your choosing. Why don'y you, Ashworth? Diamond? Well?? Invest in some.

Dearest Diamond,

Please send me my information. Don't refuse. It's poor, poor costumer service. You have a lot to learn in the realm of customer service and dealing with potential students.

Best,

Concerned Not-So-Potential Student

Because of this, they have lost my business. Good luck to other potential students. Be careful with this college.

I would like to put in a negative review, breach of contract, with AshworthCollege. Beware --- Do not enroll in this school.

I purchased the Medical Billing and Coding certificate course in December of 2016. I worked the course for 5 months. The 5 months were background material of healthcare and medical terminology, The last book "Comprehensive Medical Coding" is the book pertaining to how to code. This is what is needed for the state test.

There are 1243 pages and 60 chapters with quizzes after each chapter and multiple lessons to complete within each chapter. This book had no answers in it for the exercises or quiz. When I contacted AshworthCollege they informed me I could put in for a review of the exercises and quiz after I finished each one and they would have someone review it.

This is not the publishers answers. This is just an employee working the same material I worked. This is not a guarantee that the answers are correct. They informed me that the person reviewing had a college degree. So do I...

I would like a full refund for the course. I feel that the work I did will not help in any way to get a job as a Certified Coding Specialist job as I can not procure a state certificate with the materials that they gave me. I put $1000.00 on my American Express for certification of completion which would allow me to take a Certified Coding Specialist exam which is needed to work in that field.

On 05.16.17 a member of staff contacted me and told me no refund because I completed 50% of the course. This will not give me the information I need to take my state test to become a Certified Coding Specialist. They did not live up to their end of the bargain. They are fraudulent in promising you a career.

For anyone thinking about going to an online school please stay away from ASHWORTH COLLEGE, this school is the absolute WORST. I’m not locking online learning at all just this lousy, pathetic “school”. Do NOT be fool by their so called affordable price, IT’S A COMPLETE WASTE OF YOUR MONEY AND TIME.

I own a small bookkeeping company and require all our associate bookkeepers to have bookkeeping credentials. I decided to enroll one of staff members at Ashworth “College”; I wasn’t sure if this would the company’s preferred school, so I decided I would enroll and shallow the employee. I glance over the curriculum and thought it interesting but not in-depth.

As my employee moved along in the program I would ask questions or explain different aspects of bookkeeping and accounting to her you could tell by the look on her face she was lost. Then I began the program, which I grossly inadequate, and poorly developed.

Much to my surprise this school takes students money and provides NO contact to an instructor I mean NO contact. The students in their bookkeeper diplopia program are given a textbook and three workbooks and left 100% on their own.

At the end of the program there is a final project no one there seems know anything about. I know this because when I noted contradictions in their spread sheets and contacted them, at first, they try to explain but when challenged them and it became apparent to them they couldn’t just tell me anything old thing they became defensives and refuse to speak to me. Keep in mind I was a student.

All anyone needs to do is take a look in their bookkeeping forum, a 80% of the students are stuck on the final project, lost and hopeless. It’s heartbreaking. These people thought there were going to get an education, without assistance they will never complete the program and the greedy people behind this lousy school gets to keep their money, it’s a SHAME.

PS. The program comes with automatic access to NBA Bookkeepers Certification exam, my employee has been waiting almost 3 weeks and counting….

Please don’t waste your money on this scam of school.
