I opened a website hosting account at Arvixe on 3/23/2015 and prepaid for 1 year; there was no agreement for any recurring subscription – 1 year only. Due to numerous issues I moved on to another hosing vendor (A2 hosting) in July 2015. Despite the 1 year agreement, Arvixe additionally charged me *twice* for the same period of 2016: Invoice 4069102 (03/08/2016) and Invoice 4013429 (02/22/2016) - probably a billing error, which now the company do not want to resolve.

None of the documentation I received from the vendor stated that it would be a recurring charge of $60 per year. I prepaid for 1 year only (2015) and as I tried to login to my account after that, the password did not work anymore, and I believed that the account was cancelled. As it turned out, the company kept charging my credit card until it got replaced in 2018 - that's how I found the scam. Of course, when I started a dispute with the company, they pointed me to the terms of service (arvixe.com/terms_of_service) and I had to deliberately cancel the account, otherwise they just keep billing whether they provide the service or not. And that's a ripoff.

The total dispute amount is $96 - amount the company charged my card that they kept on file, although I did not authorize them to save my credit card payment information, it was a one time payment.

This company is incredibly bad I don't where to begin. They advertise 99.99% uptime but that is false. They are often down. They host y website and emails and both are often down, more often than they claim. I have lost mportant business due to arvixe. My credit card recently changed and when arrive tried to bill e for the five dollars I owe them it did not go through and they shut down my website and my email. They have no phone number and no way to contact t them except through their "online chat". The chat is horrible. It takes forever for someone to come on, and when they do it is always someone who does not have even basic comprehension skills for English. And then they write sentences back to the customer that make absolutely no sense at all. They will refuse to get you a supervisor or anyone in the US. If you insist, they will say your browser does not seem to be working and disconnect you. If they offer any help at all, it is to send you a way to pay your bill through email, but they will only send it to the email address that they have suspended so there is no way to access it! I am still trying to find a way to pay them the five dollars but it is looking hopeless. In the meantime I would urge anyone considering using arvixe. com for welcoming or email to pick anyone else. Believe me you will save yourself a lot of headaches. I start my chat with them frustrated, and by the time it ends I am enraged. Be advised.

Outright bait and switch

They advertise unlimited storage and are compared with other providers which offer 100gb of storage. You would think that unlimited would at least be more than their competitors. It seems that after arvixe gets you signed up and paying they let you know that unlimited storage is about 20gb yes you read that right.

Do not use arvixe under any circumstances and if you use them now then move fast.

I signed up for a plan that was supposed to fully run Boonex Dolphin which was on a shared server. This involved running a server called "Ray Media Server" without which the Dolphin product's chat would not operate. I had planned to make the chat central to getting people to come to the website, but when they did what they called an "emergency rehost" in September that had my site down for a week, the media server did not work. When I reported it, I am being told that they do not support it on my class of service and I would have to convert to a more expensive service to use it. This is "bait and switch". This company has had other times where their maintenance would suddenly make my web site go down for days.

11/12/2015 Arvixe webhosting used to be great until their aquisition by EIG (Endurance International Group). However if you go to Arvixe.com now, you will see that they have deleted the phone number (Unless you google it), and have an answering service answering the phone as opposed to someone who actually works there. their phone number is 888.927.8493. They also have deleted their forum which was LIT UP with complaints at the end of october.

I do website design and maintenance for a living. I have had MANY customeof thers come to me now that their service has declined since the end of september. I have lost a FORTUNE dealing with this mess. Word is that they have let go of a HUGE amount of their staff... in not all of them. They have held multiple companies that I do business with hostage for weeks on end... There is NO support. if your VPS goes down... It is DOWN.

You cannot get it back. you cannot even migrate your site away from them because you cannot get in. Nobody picks up the phone who has any education in server related operations. They have hired an outside secretary company to answer the lines. They simply relay messages which have went nowhere for weeks. Everything is a stall tactic. The BIG problem is that they are STILL TAKING PEOPLES MONEY. 11/12/15 Their front page still promises 99.9% uptime and 24-7 support. Both are flat out lies. (try to give them a call) I have had tickets in with them for multiple customers just trying to get their information off and abandon ships for weeks. These are people with families who depend on their e-commerce sites to be up and running. However they cannot even retrieve their information off m because there is nobody fixing anything there anymore. Any minor problem MAY be fixed... But if your vps is down, you can all but forget about salvaging it. A quick look at their twitter at /arvixesupport should show the fraud going on. EIGI Bought up this company about a year ago and since then they have completely destroyed this once reputable company. DO NOT HOST YOUR SITE HERE.

They have deleted their phone #(It used to be at the upper right hand side of the site). You have to google it. The forum is gone, they have false paid reviews everywhere... End of october their old online help chat script showed there wer 99 people waiting and 2 hours wait time.. Now it is even worse. They are just right in front of your face stealing. This company should without a doubt be facing a class action lawsuit due to what they have done to peoples entire livlihoods. I have screencaptures of all of these matters to prove.

I have had arvixe host my website and emails for the past 4 years - and have frequently had problems with them.

However in the last 4 weeks i have had nothng but problems with arvixe with my website being down more than it is up.

They do not have telephone tech support and their chat support is non existent. They do not call back and they are not proactive at all.

I have sent them emails - about 20 of them - and there is very limited response - only a lame automated response.

I have reached out to their ceo on linked in - arvand sabetian and have sent him direct messags and don't hear back from him.

I have had lost business as a result of my website being down and am fed up with them

Do not use arvixe for your webhosting despite all their adertising on their website.

I want to get my money back from them as i have paid for a year of webhosting with them and have just transferred my accuount to godaddy

Problems with service. Poor support options. Long hold times. Management never addresses concerns. On 9/11/15 I noticed that my business email was no longer working. I called the support center and waited 28 minutes before someone answered the phone. I was informed at that time that my server had changed and I needed to update the new server name in outlook. Once that was done I was still receiving send receive errors. The call was dropped and because it was after 4pm PST I could not get anyone on the phone to address the issue. I had to wait until 9/14 to get someone on the phone. On 9/14 I called in again and was told to go to another company to change the mx exchange to correct the issue and it should be resolved within 4 hours.

Still nothing. Of course this was again after 4pm PST so I could not get any further assistance in the matter. 1 hour 15 minutes. 9/15 I was told there was an issue with the server and it should be resolved soon. Still having the same issue. total phone wait time 1 hour 22 minutes 9/16 tried calling again. Once again the call ended blaming me for not imputing the correct information into outlook. Even though I had the correct server information entered in. 45 minutes 9/18 I called in for the final time. I waited on hold for 25 minutes before the call dropped then waited again another 23 minutes before a rude tech got on the line blaming me for having an improper port entered on outlook. The port was correct the mail server was not working.

The tech hung up the phone when I demanded a supervisor. I called back in and tried to use the option 3 to speak with a supervisor. This option goes right back to the main menu. I chose option 1 for sales. I waited 25 minutes on hold to talk to someone in the sales department. (think about that for a moment. Someone trying to call in to purchase service waits over 25 minutes.) When I get someone on the line I ask to speak with a supervisor which leads to another 17 minute wait before the rep comes back and says that the supervisor will not come to the phone. I had to take my business to another company to ensure that my business needs are met. 7 days of not receiving email caused financial losses to my company.
