In 2015 I hired Anthony Barbrieri, a short dark-haired man, owner of Artistic Tile Settings located in Yonkers New York 10705 to renovate my small bathroom. He gave me an estimate of 5500 dollars and we both agreed to start the job in 5 days. After 5 days went by and I had paid a small deposit by check which he cashed, Mr Barbieri never returned any of my phone calls after receiving my deposit. He finally returned my call 2 weeks later claiming he was out of town and wasnt able to get back to me. The next day, he sent a worker over to my apartment who couldnt speak English and could not communicate at all. He came in and just started breaking out our bathroom wall tiles and said he knew no English. When I contacted Mr Barbrieri about this, he said once again that he was out of town and the worker knew what he was doing. After me expressing my dissatification about the demolitition and the massive flood his worker caused by damaging the plumbing in the walls causing massive leaking to the downstairs apartment, Mr Barbieri became very nasty and started arguing with me over the phone and eventually hung up in my face and told his worker to leave and I have never heard from him or his worker again. I also discovered later that day, that his worker dumped all the construction debris in the wall and never disposed of it as he pretended to do, along with 50,000 worth of damage to the buildings plumbing The Coop board also has a pending lawsuit against Artistic Tile Setting. He also present a phony plumbing license and misrepresented himself and his worker to be a licensed plumber which he wasnt. His company has also been banned in doing any work in 5 properties in our town. I also found out he had expired insurance and other open court cases in Civil court.
