I went to Artistic Dental and had 8 teeth removed and a temporary plate made. I was grossly overcharged and never had the permanent plate made. I financed the $9500 they charged me and then when I received the insurance check through my Dental Insurance Co. they said I could be in very big trouble for not turning that check over to them.
I had financed the work, why would I turn over the check. They made partial plate that I never asked for nor wanted. I already had a bottom partial and knew it would not work, never requested it. It never fit me and it was never removed from my bill. They said they did work they never did, which they charged $850 for, which when I went to the new dentist, the charge for the work, a reline, was $217. I never had that done at Artistic and they insist I did. I never left that office without my plate, never.
I also don't understand why they couldn't see from the x-ray, a panoramic, that I have a palette that doesn't have a proper curve for suction. They claim they kept telling me I would need implants, why would I have them do implants when they charged me almost $10,000 for 8 teeth being removed and a plate that was never made for me. I have the temporary plate they put in my mouth the day my teeth were removed and nothing more.
They claim they made a plate that I complained about, saying the teeth were too long...I have never seen another plate.
I am 73 years old and this has caused me so much stress, I am taking additional anxiety medication.
I have since gone to another dentist and am a having removable implant plate made for $6500.
I truly do not want to see anybody else go through this torture, and believe me, that it what it has been. It is going to ruin my credit as I can't continue to pay the financing on the work they never completed and have the necessary work done elsewhere.
I truly hope there is something that you can accomplish with my complaint as I am totally distraught and have spent a year of my life not being able to eat properly, nor even keep the teeth in my mouth when I am at home. I am embarrassed, if I didn't use adhesive, the plate would fall right down, I couldn't even speak. It's all just wrong.
I have reports but have no idea how to get them into the form to give them to you, I am not computer savvy.
