Artesian Springs Apartments Reviews

  • Nov 9, 2017

On August 4th my wife and I visited Artesian Springs Apartment by chance after trying to find new apartment to live at the end of September. We were greeted by Astrid and Julie. Astrid was the one showing us the model of the apartment and we just fall in love with it. We were worry because the building construction isn’t done, but assured that it would be done by the end of August and if it’s not done by that time we are allowed to put some of our belongings in the unit first till everything is completed (have the same couples there that had the same problem as us), so we decided to submit our application fee ($70) and deposit fee ($500) on August 8th hoping we can move in by the end of September, but as told by Astrid, we have to move in by September 24th (with prorated payment) since they can’t hold that unit that long (sales pressure tactic).

We submitted all the information needed to get the application going the same day that the Artesian Springs asked for the next two weeks, and that’s even I called first and found out that they needed something else. We even canceled another apartments that we already approved and ready to move in by the end of September because we wanted to go with Artesian Springs.

We tried to call in again to find out our application status on the week of August 28th and found out that we got approved (took them 20 days) and told us that the construction won’t be finished by September 18th. We were starting to worry about it but we believe it would be done as the staffs of Artesian Springs assured us.

September 11th was the first time I finally received a phone call from the Artesian Springs staff (Astrid) telling us that the construction is pushed back again won’t be finished until the end of the month, and she was confident that it would be done by that time. Since it’s starting to get close to our move-in date (scheduled September 24th) we asked if it is not done as scheduled we will put some of our stuff there first as she said on the beginning and we also wanted to do the lease contract since we will be out of the town week of 25th for a week but she said no. So we called Julie, told her our concern, and trying to work together to get things right, but it just fell on deaf ears, and there is nothing that she can do or help about it.

We chose Artesian Springs to be our new place to live, but disappointed because not only the staff of Artesian Springs lied to us at the beginning, but they show lack of respect to the future tenant by not trying to inform us what’s going on, and won’t work with us after we did everything that they asked for the same day.

We also contacted Wendy Pickering (the apartment management President) to get some kind of response but she said she can't help since everything isn't in paper and doesn't want to take any responsibility for whatever her staffs did to us. Really losing hope to see the top management with this kind of behavior.

They called themselves professionals, but wait till things not going your way, they will use all the tricks in the world to get themselves out and leave you with nothing.
