Artelice Patisserie Reviews
We believe this bakery shop (West LA location and its undisclosed kitchen located somewhere in Tarzana) irresponsibly/misleadingly/negligently/illegally sells contaminated, toxic, and perished cakes, teas, and water to consumers since its opening.
The expired pastries that should've been thrown away, per the health and food safety departments' strict regulations, have been deliberately and knowingly stored/hidden inside the fridge overnight for resale the following day(s), recorded/dated as inventory before shift closing, and offered as free samples to the public. The owners had stated to the public that the cakes/pastries are baked and sold fresh every day, whatever left unsold during the same day was disposed of -- not true!
Even worse, some of the cakes sold contain, among other things, plastic, metals, nail marks, human hair, and cleaning chemicals. Moreover, we physically saw/witnessed disgusting sewage water flooding the whole store and nearby store(s) on multiple occasions, which was reported to the owners and the landlords, and pastries had been resold to the public, the same day(s), regardless.
We also had observed mold in the ceiling, uneven flooring, no handicap access, and were exposed to a foul/sulfur-like smell coming out from the store's central A/C Unit, and possibly other known/unknown carcinogens/toxins. The last times we legitimately and verbally confronted ownership and its employees with these facts to preserve our rights, we were reprimanded, denied non-discriminatory service, expelled from the premises, and even threatened with a "restraining order".
More importantly, all the aforementioned have caused us, both consumers and employees alike, directly and indirectly, significant and potentially unlimited detrimentincluding cancer), injuries, and damages, which we'll undoubtedly and aggressively pursue in state/federal court(s), in accordance with all local/state/federal laws.
Furthermore, we believe, including current and former employees, that the owners of this business establishment have illegally audio/video-recorded customers and employees without our/their express written consent, hence blatantly violating California and federal wiretapping and privacy laws; possibly stole our identity(ies); and overcharged our debit/credit cards without our authorization.
Additionally, we believe that the owners intentionally and subtly discriminate against customers/employees/job applicants/the public based on, among other things, their disability(ies), medical condition(s), national origin, race, sex/gender, and religion. Moreover, some current and former employees have reported to us, and other witnesses, several and repeated complaints apropos serious local/state/federal labor and safety/OSHA laws violations, including but not limited to, unpaid overtime, denied lunch and rest periods, delayed tips payment, wrongful termination, and invasion of privacy.
We've preliminarily reported the violations and transgressions that pertain to us consumers to, among others, the LADPH, Cal/OSHA, the FTC...and we're awaiting the investigations results to exhaust our administrative remedies which we truly hope its findings would permit us to proceed to file a class-action lawsuit(s) to recover our comprehensive damages to date.
1/21/2020 Update:
N.B.: Since we've posted our legitimate review herein, the business owners/their attorney/accomplices have been incessantly lobbying Yelp to silence us and remove it from the public view claiming "relationship/conflict of interest" -- let us be crystal clear, we have no personal/business relationship with the ownership, we had been simply customers/consumers whose rights have been blatantly violated; and it seems Yelp/others are unwarrantedly helping them to get away with it. Unlike these potentially bogus/paid-for abnormal five-star reviews you see here on Yelp and other online platforms/websites.
More seriously, the business owners and their accomplices have been stalking/cyber-stalking us in public/private places, and we've noted such illegal incidents and will act accordingly to protect our global rights.
