I went down to Los Algodones for a "Free Exam to The Art of Dentistry, Jorge Sanchez. The border was limited to a 2pm closure.. so I had to get there early, I drove for nearly 4 hours to get there.. We had time enough for the exam and discussion of what would be best for me. His assistant was very kind and friendly. So was he. I was very impressed by how clean and nice the office was.
So after the exam, there wasnt enough time to do any procedures. He told me I should leave a deposit for my next visit. If I didnt make an appt for another visit, I would be charged for this "free exam".
I was enthralled with the idea that I was going to finally get dental work done at an affordable price.
The issue was that I had a long drive back home. Pets that need my care, no one here to help me with them.
They had told me I must spend the night there in Los Algodones. I had a lot of hesitancy about doing this because I dont have anyone here to help with my pets. I had to cancel the appt. A while later, the secretary called to see what I was going to do.. I made an appt and again had to cancel. I did so in advance so they had time to schedule other appts. She assured me not to worry, that "my" money was safe there!
I decided not to go, the travel is just too hard for me and asked for my money to be returned. I told her I realise that he would want to keep some of it for the exam he did... which was supposed to be free.. If he could return part of it that would be helpful. They do use Zelle, and paypal as well as gpay also work accross the borders. I have it set up so it would be quick for them to send it back.
over the past weeks I have called, have been polite. asking when they would return my money. She gave excuses.. that he wasnt in the office. that he is forgetful, that he is busy with his family .. he has children. next excuses were that she was having an emergency, then she was driving on the freeway. next time I called they would not answer.
I had emailed this Dr. Sanchez, asking for my money back.
I told him he is supposed to heal people's smiles but has made mine go away. I have been so sad, feeling so decieved. I feel so very stupid for trusting this, leaving my money there.. I am searching for dental care here. I cant trust this dentist anymore. I suggest that you dont either. This is clearly a scammer dentist who doesnt really care about his patients, he is more interested in the money than the people he cares for. This is obvious!
