They sold me a truck that has flood damage. They never made me aware of the damages to it prior to the sale. I am writing this report to make everyone else aware of this. They make everything seem ok, and because it's a dealership you believe them. This maybe a salvage vehicle with a branded title, I don't have title yet, so I dont know yet. Either way it was literally flooded at some point. But they take the vehicles they buy to Kansas, obtain the titles, move the vehicle to Missouri, obtain a new title with the intent of the brand falling off the title. This does happen it's known as "washing the title". It doesn't stop there, they then move the vehicle to its final destination where they will again retitle it, then sell it to you. Its all to present a clean title if you want proof that they own it before you purchase it, so they avoid disclosing the damage to you. They lied in my contract saying that a list of things like head lights and other things worked. They didn't work they had to have popped the fuse out and back in before my scheduled test drive. It was my first purchased semi truck. I hired a family friend to drive it. He picked up the vehicle.
It happened to be Friday. The sun set, he turned on the headlights, they didn't work. All kinds of dash warnings popped up. He found the nearest TA, got out realized none of the lights were working. It wasn't just the head lights. Break lights, headlights turn signals...$120 later, after a diagnostic, its the fuses. Easy fix right? Nope the inside of the fuse box is corroded, the fuses too. We cleaned it the best we could, bought new fuses, It worked for 15-20 minutes then they started to flicker. Arrow was closed. I called everyone in all the paperwork. I found out the Arrow Action center for issues with your truck is a scam. I was talking to one man in the morning claimed to be with Volvo. Same number later after lights flickered uncontrollably yhey answered the phone Arrow action. This guy was looking things up, I heard a woman in the background answering the phone Global Solutions.
Either way your not getting help even with a warranty without paying a huge amount of money for a lemon. This truck beyond qualifyies for the lemon law, mis represention, false advertising, violating the contract before the purchase and after, in multiple ways and after. I am sitting here, my driver got pulled over for the flickering lights. If he keeps going and gets caught he will lose his license. If he stays the truck will cost 3 times what it should. Things just aren't reasonably priced on the road. We are a brand new business. Tomorrow I have to find a lawyer. It's disappointing that this is happening. Its even worse that its my first truck and the company I always wanted to start may be gone before it really starts. I took my family with me to purchase the vehicle. My wife asked a few good questions and we were assured the vehicle was in road ready condition, and it was a great used vehicle. This vehicle is a safety hazard and reupholstered scrap. How the salesman David in Tampa Florida could not just lie to me, but sit there and lie to my disabled wife, and tell one of my sons how great the truck is and how one day maybe he could drive that truck. I'm astonished and appalled by the lack of morality, humanity, ethics, and morality.
You should really own your truck for a few months before you leave a feedback. I thought everything was fine when I bought a 2011 Freightliner and a 2014 Flatbed from them. Everything was great the first two months then I started to have problems. I paid $38,000 for the truck and have spend $32,000 in repairs in ONE year. And not for stuff that wore out. It was for stuff that was COVERED up by arrow. Yes it had an inspection but when I got another 6 months later Arrows inspection guy Missed alot of stuff. Take you purchase to a reputable shop BEFORE you buy. Seth is no more than a Used car salesman working for a truck dealership. Lie after Lie after the sale but will bend over before. BUYER BEWARE.
I bought a truck on May 3, 2017 did the test drive I noticed that there is a check engine light I notify them. They told me that they would actually got it repaired whatever the problem is I actually used my 2005 Volvo as a treat in however it took almost a week and three days for them to give me the truck after purchase . After I receive the truck I did my first load in doing so the check engine light came back on when I got back into Georgia I put the truck back into the shop. Peach state freightliner of McDonagh they had the truck for about two weeks and they could not find the problem that they happen to remove the check engine light but after that my second load the check engine light came back on in Tampa Florida. I ended up putting the truck back in the shop. until this day the truck is still in the shop and the end result came back as such that it needed a new fuel pump, it needed a new DEF filter and it needed a new injectors .
And with all that was mentioned the truck is still in a bad shape it's not running right so they have to do more test. They said that they have to block of each injector after they replace that one injector they have to blocked off each injector so they are ordering more parts however this will take another two days. I was told that this will not guarantee the fixing of the truck however they might find more problems with more injectors in this case the truck will be garbage at this point because they could only find one injector in the state of Florida there is none the only injector they found was out of Atlanta Georgia and it took three days for them to receive it so at this point there is no more injectors for this truck it has a Isx engine.
At this point I am lost I am losing so much time and money my bills are due. When this incident first happened I have been going back-and-forth with Jim requesting for them to give me a replacement truck they refuse I have asked them on numerous occasions please give me a replacement truck and they refused . I need help if anyone can help me I would appreciate it
