Looking for hard to find firearm on-line. Located this item advertised at website "Armory Home" at a reasonable price. Extensive professional appearing website with additional website for alleged shipping company "Fast Universal Carriers" with tracking option. Paid 'business' $650 by Zelle for item. Alleged Employee first name "Chris or Christian" last name "Matthews or Rocje." All communication by e-mail attempted phone contact without results.
Received e-mail claiming that item had shipped by 'Fast Universal Carriers' and that it should have arrived at my local gun shop. Found out item had not arrived. Checked tracking number for 'Fast Universal Carriers'. This showed a message that the item was "on-hold" until additional $320 dollars was paid for shipping insurance. Website of 'Armory Home' states they pay shipping and special insurance. From past experience, I knew there was no requirement for shipping insurance within U.S.
Contacted both 'Armory Home' and 'Fast Universal Carriers' and told thewm to resolve this issue or refund my money because I wasn't paying any more money. Received additional e-mails asking me to pay the money promising that I would either receive all of the money back or most of it back once item arrived.
Fairly certain this was a scam and demanded refund. Internet checks determined that 'Armory Home' was using the physical address of an actual other firearms shop not affiliated with them. 'Fast Universal Carriers' also was using physical address of different named. not affiliated with them, shipper in Houston, TX.
Confronted both sites and they became defensive and said they would initiate legal proceedings for claiming they were fraudulent. Again demanded refund, but received none. No further e-mails from either site once they were told a police report was made and notification of the DOJ, FTC and BBB.
