AZ Spa Tech was contacted by my mother in law, an 84 year old single woman, to repair her spa, not working due to rodent chewed wiring. She explained that she would like the spa repaired and rodent protected. Charges for new equipment and labor totaled $1333.00. Two days after repaior same problem occurred. AZ Spa Tech quoted an additional $500.00 for repair, which she declined. I discovered only protection provided was a few feet of neoprene tubing. I repaired wiring and with a few feet of flex conduit and metal tape completed the repair. Research found the equipment provided (Topside PM 3000-2) retailed for around $400.00. Labor was $250.00 for a repair and installation that did not work. We feel that refund of $500.00 is in order, as well as AZ Spa Tech employees recieving training in proper rodent protection. Owner mentioned he had just completed a $10,000 installation that was rodent damaged in first week????
