Architectural Depot sells nice things. Some are sold as perfect, other objects are damaged and sold at a discount. No problem so far. But when an item I bought as perfect arrived with a deep crack several inches long, I contacted the company. They saw the photo of the damage, and greed it was defective. They sent me an email saying they'd issued a twenty dollar credit. Well, the credit turned out to be a "gift" card that - Surprise!- can only be used at Architectural Depot. It seems this would be appropriate had I changed my mind or ordered the wrong item. But I didn't. Wasn't my fault that I ended up with damaged goods. It's a small amount of money. But by selling bad stuff to people who are furious and won't come back, they end up keeping the "refund". Creepy business model.
