After they illegally tow your car, they will charge you absurd fees for not only the tow but for storing the car as well. It doesn't matter how courteous you are when you are on the phone with them or dealing with them in person, they will still be rude and treat you like a second class citizen. I guess it's the only way that people like that have an opportunity to exercise some power and when you are already mad at the world because you are a colossal failure in looks and life, well this is the one place for them to try to make themselves feel empowered and important.
I don't know how these people live with themselves, they operate barely within the legal limits.. Its basically robbery and extortion when they tow your car with no explanation why and then charge you for stealing and hiding your own vehicle from you.
At lease Paul R made me a lovely offer of letting me perform oral sex on him next time to get my car back instead of paying the 300 dollars they charged me today to keep my car for a whopping 90 minutes, if I call him privately. Although he parks his hoopdy in a handi capped spot, my guess is that he stole the handi-cap hanger from off an impounded vehicle from someone who is really disabled.
Anyway, this place is a scam, all of the other reviews are right. It is a shady operation and my guess is that it will all catch up to them at some point.
* I just ran into a girlfriend who had a similar experience with Archers. She told me how the tow truck driver verbally abused her and then told her that if she gave him 250 dollars on the spot then he would un hook her car. He damaged the front of her car during this fiasco and the driver tried to say that she was scaring him by yelling at him and he couldn't control his fear, causing him to hook and un hook incorrectly. Fortunately there were several witnesses to this altercation filming and it was proved that the driver was not scared, in fact he was antagonistic and heckling her... and Archers ended up having to pay for the car to be fixed.
More proof that this place is sleazy and that they will lie, cheat and steal from decent people in order to make a buck. I can't wait to see what kind of rebuttal the company makes after seeing my post. Their weak attempts at justification in no way validate their actions. How do you explain a worker telling me to give him oral sex in lieu of money if my car gets towed again? - SMH
The have many Yelp reviews that describe extortion and other barely legal practices... if not totally illegal. Because Archers has a contract with the city, they use that to bully honest, hard working people and to violate the law at their discretion without having to suffer the consequences. Anyone who demands cash and offers a cash discount is up to something shady.
