AppSumo is a scam. Partners such as us signup, AppSumo pays for fake signups, reviews and comments to generate better deals and give you the impression their service is legitimate. When you raise questions with the above, without notice they refund all of your customers. Now, you have customers using your software for free, and don’t earn any money from the hundreds of hours supporting the fake AppSumo customers.
Except, they only refund some of your customers, so they still keep some money from you…. (More than the % they would normally take). This has cost us 100+ hours of time, $2000 of sales, and 40 customers. After throwing your brand under the bus to our customers, saying "we breached T&C’s and they don’t want to work with us”, their CEO addresses me "Yo…” and proceeds to laugh and not answer the phone.
After countless emails back and forth to AppSumo, it is clear they are running a dodgy marketplace full of fake users. We have detailed location tracked correspondence, highlighting the AppSumo train of lies. When enough people find out, Karma will prevail on AppSumo, it’s only a matter of time.
Appsumo (appsumo.com) blocked my account for no reason and refused to refund me after more than 1 year of exchanging countless emails. I bought a tool on the 2020-08-15 : RemoteTeam (106.20$)(see screenshot). They didn't refund me so they stole 106.20$ from me.
I renewed a membership for a year on the 2020-09-30 : Appsumo Plus membership (99$) (see screenshot). Since they blocked my account, I could not use my membership benefits so, in other words , they stole 99$ from me.
They are ignoring all my refund requests for more than one year. They are very unprofessional and they are treating their customers like garbage. No understanding whatsoever.I asked them many times to unlock my account, they refused and therefore I cannot get access to the refund.
On the 2022-02-07, I got an email letting me know that the product I bought Remote Team has been refunded and I have a credit in my account. The problem is that my ACCOUNT IS BLOCKED for no reason. (see screenshot)
NOTE : since 1 year +, I never heard back from them regarding my account that was blocked, even if I have provided all the evidence that they required. I have contacted Appsumo regarding my refund for remoteteam. And they asked me about a chargeback that occurred on January 12th, 2021.
I had an unauthorized transaction on my credit card and my credit card company charged back every single purchase made that month. One of the transactions was an appsumo purchase and I got refunded for it.
Transaction charged back by mistake : SerpWatch on the 04-11-2020 (265,50$)
NOTE : with this refund, I also lost access to that tool, so I haven't got any benefit from this.
I have contacted serpwatch to buy it back. They told me to contact Appsumo. And guess what, Appsumo ignored me as usual.
I had to contact each company to repurchase some of the tools I bought that were refunded by mistake. AppSumo judged that I was trying to fraud them, and this is the reason why they blocked my account. On the 2022-02-22, I have provided all the evidence from my credit card reports and they IGNORE all my messages. (see screenshot)
I realize that they will never refund me for real and they want to keep the money. They take forever to respond to emails and they ignore your messages when they want to. This is a company to avoid at all cost.
