Applegate Logistics and Warehousing does not exist. At this writing, the domain applegatelw.com has been up and running for about one month. They offer home-based employment and training for a full-time position to come, saying they are a Denmark-based company. The job in this case was project manager. They are not a real company. This is a long con, and after many weeks they will deposit a 5-figure check in your account, say it was a mistake and that you should keep your portion and send the rest back. Their check bounces, and you are out $20K plus. Most banks now will flag this, and I'm amazed that anyone would fall for this. But heads up.
There was an Applegate Logistics on the West Coast that has apparently since gone out of business. This group of scammers appears to grab the name of what was a legitimate business, and they have run this scam under many logistics company names. What is amazing is the lengths they go to with daily training materials, etc... They will even call for interviews, etc... But it is entirely a scam, a long con. You will never reach anyone at their company by phone.
I have reported them to the FBI, who at this writing did not have the logisitics company scam type listed on their site.
There are a whole lot of dirtbags out there around the world with a lot of time on their hands. If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.
