Don Reid and his Apache Leads company is probably the worst run, most dishonest company in a an industry full of dishonest people. Not only does Don Reid change dates on his leads and sell them a new leads, he's probably the rudest, most self-important POS in the industry.
I purchased several orders from them 4 months back and received files with leads (supposedly) all generated the same day. Each time I ordered, all leads were dated as if they were generated the same day. Then all of a sudden they told me I was buying too many leads and said they wouldn't sell me anymore. This of course seemed strange since they always had tons of leads generated in a day so this raised the red flag.
I asked if leads were available 2 months later and they told me they would not sell me anymore leads. This was the first time I experienced Don Reid's attitude. He was rude and obnoxious like nobody I had dealt with before.
I waited 2 more months and decided to try to buy leads again but did not want to deal with his attitude so I had my wife buy the leads.
When we received the leads, they were the EXACT same leads we had purchased 4 months ago but now they were dated as new leads. When I contacted Don Reid, he had the nerve to blame me for not telling him who I was so he could give me different leads. He actually called me a "Gigantic Idiot" and told me to F-Off.
I disputed my credit card payment and this changed his tune. He contacted me all support oriented and said if I removed my credit card dispute he would send me a new batch of leads he had just paid $2000 for. Since I'm not one to hold a grudge and just want to run my business, I agreed and removed the dispute. I waited a day or two and did not receive anything from Don Reid so I contacted him and he told me that he didn't have the $2000 leads yet but would send them to me when the dispute cleared.
He contacted me again a day later and said he was having trouble getting the funds from my dispute and asked if I would send him screen shots of the dispute I removed and told me he'd give me an extra 200K leads for the effort. So I sent him screen shots from 2 seperate accounts.
Still days went by so I got angry and told him to send what he promised. He said he never told me that he had the leads already and that I needed to "Shut my mouth and wait since it was MY fault we were in this position in the first place!" He actually told me that he was angry that I had never apologized for being wrong!
I never got my leads and I'm in the process of filing a police report. This is something I have never done in my life but Don Reid and his company Apache leads, needs to be shut down completely. He actually poses as a successful business man but in my communications with him it has become obvious that this guy needed my money more than I did. He couldn't afford to replace my leads, he had no new leads to sell and the $2000 purchase for hims was out of his financial abilities.
Don Reid is a fraud, he has no expertise that anyone should pay for and anyone who gives him money is guaranteed to be ripped off. Stay away from him and his company.
After reviewing the website I wanted a company to make calls for me while I worked my regular job during the day to potential clients in my market and Industry. I am not an MLM operator. The website states that they'll work with you on your script if you like. The website states that they make targeted calls to people that align to your business. I enrolled in a basic package and expected them to call to set up services with me. No one called or contacted me for the next 2 days.
After a brief delay I received an email from their customer service manager stating that the calls would begin. I objected that no one had contacted me to learn about my business or where my target market is. Not knowing these things they wouldn't know who to call on my behalf or what I wanted. I asked her to stop all marketing activities immediately. I called my bank to ensure that no recurring charges would come off of my credit card. I made sure to contact them within the 3-day window to cancel any follow-up charges that might have occurred. I realized that I may have lost my non-refundable setup fee but I considered that a lesson hard learned. My main concern at this point. Was to ensure that no recurring charges came out of my account.
After canceling with the customer service manager who was very pleasant via email, I received a rather rude email from Don Reed stating that they would not cancel my order and that I quote needed to grow up and act like a man that I needed to just suck it up and keep working on this and stop bothering him with quote silliness. I responded to his email stating that I gave no further authorizations for any charges of any kind from his company and that he should cease all activities immediately. I contacted my bank and discuss this with them they reported my card as stolen and issued me a new account number. This experience has been very bad. Not only do they not work with you and provide anything to do with your business, they are rude and distasteful in addition to that. My recommendation is to not do business with this vendor they are dishonest and rude. When I went back to their initial website to find them and look over the material again it was offline. At my age I should have spotted this scam and I didn't in time it probably cost me $50 but it's a lesson learned
I made the mistake of ordering leads in order to have more people to talk to about a company that is somewhat similar to MLM.
Let me tell you folks, just save your money. I ordered some leads from ApacheLeads.com, based out of Australia and owned by a guy named Don Reid. He makes it sound like you're going to be on your way to growing your business thanks to his leads. My experinece was that you get pretty much a very low rate of enrollment, and I mean very low and here's why: When you order your leads, there is a drop down menu where you pick the company you're working with. Well, you would think that the leads are going to be just for you, especially when you order the leads as fresh and exclusive right? Wrong! What they mean by exclusive is that they will only sell those leads to you for your particular company or opportunity for a few days, but meanwhile, at the same time anyone that also orders leads that is working with any of the other companies in the drop down menu will also be getting the same leads, then after the first days of exclusivity even other people working with the same company or opportunity as you will be receiving those same leads.
As you can imagine, the poor saps that filled out the form and became a lead are very grumpy do to all of the calls they are getting!
Honestly, I don't know how these Lead companies haven't been sued out of existence. Now, my fist order was for National Leads and they did come in at a reasonable rate of 20 per day. After realizing that working with people that I don't even know from all over the country wasn't going to be very productive I decided to order only local leads from my particular area so that I could have more in common with the people I would be contacting. These leads came in at a rate of 3 per month... just 3. I contacted Apache via chat and asked if something was wrong or if that is just how slow the leads come in in the particular area where I live. They said they would look into it and send me an email soon with their findings. Well, another month went by and I did not receive an email. 2 months later I had a total of 7 leads and nobody ever even got back to me about my previously voiced concerns, so I called them... I got a voicemail greeting telling me that it's better to chat online. I opened the online chat once more but it showed them as away. At this point I decided to open a dispute with PayPal. I asked for most of my money back, not all of it but the amount I felt was fair. I promptly received a call from a woman with an Australina accent. I almost didn't answer because the phone didn't show any ID. The woman attempted to get me to switch my order from local leads to National ones. I respectfuly declined, stating that I had already tried their Nationla leads and had found that people were upset that they were getting so many calls from people wanting to share their home business ideas with them. I also told her that it's too difficult working with people that are out of state and that you can't sit down with face to face, at least with the particula company that I'm working with. The woman told me that it was going to take months to refund my money because the process is long. I told her that months would be fine with me. She sounded like I was personally attacking her for wanting a refund, not proffessional at all.
Now, I was going to just move on and not even take the time to write something like I am here but the respnse I received from Apache through PayPal's resolution center was simply unreal. They wanted to haggle me by 20 dollars, I once again respectfully declined. Here is what they wrote to me and can be viewed at imgur.com/a/kaOE7 :
"Now I understand that you're broke and going to stay broke because you clearly have no understanding and no willpower to build a business...go back to your horrid life in your terrible soul destroying job.Buh Bye"
Yeah.., sorry Don but you don't know anything about me, what my life is like, how much money I make and have or if I work for a job I hate. All I see in that statement you wrote is somebody that is not emmotionally mature enough to reverse a transaction with a customer that didn't feel satisfied with their order.
These are the type of people you, fellow reader, will be dealing with should you decide to buy leads from Apache.
I would recommend that you save your money and add leads to your contact list in a more organic way, people that you meet every day in your life and in your area or people that you personally know in other areas but that is my opinion.
This lead company has not only ripped me and many others off. They are totally incompetent, and exceptionally rude, especially that pompous a*****e Don Reid, who rips his customers off every day of the week.
They are the worst and I mean the WORST lead company we have ever dealt with, their leads are VERY poor quality and 90% are bad leads who are rude and angry when you call them - they say why are you calling me I am not interested and hang up- I am guessing they are copying the phone book and selling it to suckers.
I heard from others that they take orders but don't even bother delivering- and when you approach them about thwe bad leads they tell you to go to hell!
Their marketing is sleek and they say they replace bad leads they do NOT.
They say they deliver to you daily (after you pay them you are lucky to hear back at all from them)
and god help you if ypou ask for a refund, they never ever refund- so no leads and no refund.
I found others with similar stories see this link her story is identical to ours.
