Aon Risk Services Northeast, Inc. Reviews

  • Apr 26, 2020

The New York Office, prior to 9/11, located in the World Trade Center in NYC, was one of the most sexist, bullying, aggressive and hostile places to work that I have ever witnessed.

If a "senior" person, despite their rhetoric and incompetence, decides to railroad anyone then they were free to do so. They can unlawfully bully, slander, demean, spread false and annihilating character bashing, and just overall derail your career and get the assistance of a highly political HR [and incompetent to say the least] to have you laid-off, fired, forced-out, etc., even if you are eager to learn, work hard and do your job.

The culture was FEAR as the undertone and "don't be different or come up with new ideas.... or else you will get Whacked" mentality.

The hatred was masked by insincere interactions and the competition to get ahead was one where you would literally have to allign yourself with someone on the "inside" to be protected from abuse and character assassination.

The Top-Down culture was unfair to anyone young and ambitious with a fresh perspective and outlook. It was ignored, discouraged, and you could be a target.... so why be inventive and even collaberative?

Sexism was rampant. Women were sized up and categorized. If you were too outgoing, friendly, and/or attractive you could be targeted for unfair labels of "incapable" or "stupid" or any other wretched undercurrent of Sexism that exists in any white-collar environment.

The management was self-absorbed, unreachable, incompetent, political and non-existant to make the culture a better working situation. Management behavior sent subliminal messages from the Top that seemed to encourage a culture of 'every man for himself.' The Management was most interested in their own bonuses and Commissions, which did find its way into the national News at one point because of the level of dishonesty surrounding this roller-derby, backstab your co-worker mentality if there was money on the table.

A "Producer" could easily derail a worker at a whim if you are somehow a threat or even a person that they simply don't like. No checks and balances were in place to stop the bully culture and the workers were always on edge in this FEAR undercurrent.

Producers were treated with an untouchable, "rock star" status to a level of unfairness to everyone else. They fought over political matters regarding Commissions on Sales, which was itself unfairly distributed in percentage that you had to negotiate upon Hire.

To boot, companies that were Sales Prospects with high possible commissions that were genuinely sourced and brought in by a lower-level worker could be easily snatched out of the hard-working hands of such a worker because the Producers, whether they be unethical or sexist, just got away with anything no matter what.

This is not only unlawful behavior but it is highly unethical, monstrous and diabolical.
