This is what happens when someone makes a recommendation to use a certain company because in one instance the work was done correctly for the person making the recommendation. Unfortunately that was not the case with my company in having some electrical work done. What I got in the end was a long list of excuses, information not passed on to me as to why a certain part of the job could not be completed and a request to be paid more money to actually fix and finish the job. This was after I was told the work had been completed and a demand to pay up was made after the job was supposedly done.
So Antonio Alexandre was recommended by my computer/IT specialist, who by the way, is very good at his job.
So Antonio shows up with his **electrician** to quote the job. $900 ... ok fine. I wanted to give someone work because they have a family at home that needs taking care of. The work consisted of relocating several electrical outlets into another room so we could relocate production equipment.
So it was left up to me to provide wire.. fine.. all good.. However, I could not secure the wiring on time for **electrical contractor** #1 to come in on the one Saturday, so it was rescheduled for the next Saturday.
Antonio demanded a $500 deposit, which I honored but in hindsight never should have agreed to.
It was explained to Antonio by my shop manager where the wiring needed to go, and everyone seemd onside with respect to the work that needed to be done.
So the work I thought was going to be done on Saturday, relocating 3 circuits, inspect the bathroom because we had some electrical issues there, that were going to be fixed.. $900.. (I took pity on this poor b*****d)
I was told we will be there for 10:00, showed up one hour late Same on sunday , showed up an hour late. I had work to do offsite (my time is not important)
I have no real recollection of when they went home Saturday, but it required for them to come back Sunday, (We are talking 3 circuits) plus a peek at the bathroom and do the repairs. I was told by AlexAndre that he would make the repairs as agreed in the bathroom. "No problem" is what he said. So I was working at one of my customers shop and got a phone call from Alexandre that he was finished and wanted to be paid because the work was finished. He insisted on wanting to be paid.. The red flags should have been popping off at that point but I was busy with my own work, so I agreed to have my wife meet up with him and settle up.
So I show Monday late to inspect the work. It's an absolute mess. And only two circuits have been installed.
There was tape on the wall indicating where the wiring was to go. One plug was in the wrong spot, One plug was correct and the other plug was no where to be seen. PLUS.. the bathroom was not fixed because the **electrician** decided it was Sunday (Superbowl Sunday) and wanted to screw off home early.. 2:00 in the afternoon. So the excuse was that I had to bring my plumber in first to fix an exhaust pipe. A plumber never entered in the discussion when the work was first ordered up. I paid for it to get done. Then refund me my money if your work ethic is a little off that day and see you later.. Nope.. He got paid the amount that we agreed on, but I got left holding the bag.. No wall patching, just leave a d**n mess behind.
Antonio once you get him on the phione is really the King of Excuses. So apparently I was supposed (after the fact) to be in attendance to supervise things and hold hands when neccesary, and to make sure things were done properly. Antonio threw up his figurative hands and proclaimed that things had not been explained to him properly. So what do you do Antonio, Huh? What do you do. So you just keep plodding on, making up stuff as you go along with the electrical work? I have a phone.. you can call me. Oh no, but the excuse was that I didn't like answering my phone.. Such utter bullshit. It really pisses me off when a doofus like Alexandre starts projecting his ethical short comings onto me!!
For comparison I hired a retired electrician to install 3 motion sensor lights on the exterior of our building, including wiring and lights for $1200. Now that was work.
So now Alexandre.. wants to come back and *FIX* things for more money. That is a great business model if you can get the next fool to agree to that. What really pisses me off about this guy is that he is a bonafide excuse factory. He does nothing wrong but it's all on me.. Classic Narcisim..
So Alexandre... your life is about to get a whole lot uncomfortable. I will file a claim in court and will have all things documented. You know I own a sign shop .. right? I can print some signs up to make sure nobody ever hires you again.. $900.. paid it in cash.. Maybe I should call up CRA.. I just might..
