When I shop at Anthropologie I only shop sales because I've known for a while their offerings aren't worth the huge price tag. I read labels and I will not pay a lot for poly materials or other synthetics. I ordered a pair of boots from them and the product description stated the boots have a leather insole / outsole and velvet upper with European sizes and are imported.
When I received the boots (priced at $148 but I paid $103 b/c they were on sale) the bottom had a sticker on them saying synthetic soles and upper and MADE IN CHINA...this is extremely deceptive and untruthful. The sizing leads you to believe they're Europoean made when they are not. Alos, they didn't even try and embellish the description, they just lied, the website is listing the materials as velvet and leather when they are synthetic materials, and the shoes don't detail what synthetic materials were used and there aren't any other product labels on the shoes.
I hope the FTC is paying attention. That was my last purchase from them forever!
