I use to refer a LOT of NEW customers to this place. NEVER AGAIN! THe last 3-4 times I was there, I waited and waited and waited and while not only was there eye contact on all occasions... I went out of my way to greet the owner and not even a "hello... I will be right with you" ...NOTHING! ... as they continued to pre-occupy themselves walking around or even "sitting behind the counter". I cant tell you how much money I have spent there... and even today, I went there to drop another 50.00, but was ignored. The store is under new management/owner "Mike" and you can tell as the customer service stinks like a unkept animal habitat. Is this store nothing more than a personal, glorified hobby for the owner or is it a "business?" One thing is for sure, they will lose out, not just on "my business" but the dozens (literally) of those I have referred and dozens more I would have referred. ALso...their pricing is high. Went there one time to buy a 3' section of 1" uplift tube.. it was over $10.00. Got it online for $2.49! IF they were the only pet store, I would give up all my pets rather than do business with them.
Animal Ark has a misleading and outdated website (see at the bottom of this summary) which is posting in-store item prices. It advertise store only items and prices (there is not an option to by online.) Those item prices are not honor at the store. A dishonest way to compete with other similar stores in the area and deceive consumer to go to their store. When you get to the store, they show you a different price list. The difference in prices between what is advertised in the website and what they tell you when you get to the store is between 30% and 100% depending of the item.
I was interested in buying one female and one male canaries. I went there expecting to pay around $150 for both. I ended up paying $230.
