I started using Angi leads about a month ago. They charge a $200 - $300 initial membership fee. I paid the fee. I started getting leads. But not every one panned out which is the cost of doing business. However, after I paused my leads, I began to receive opportunity leads. This week to be exact, I accepted two opportunity leads and spoke with both potential customers. The scheduled dates and times were booked. However, the first lead never contacted me to inform me they weren't ready for my services. I showed up the agreed upon time only for the customer to then tell me this. I tried to request credit back. Angi Leads denied it. The second customer, I contacted them to confirm for this coming Sunday as we had discussed only to find out they decided to go with someone else that their relative hired. Again, I was not contacted, but thankfully I called to confirm so I could avoid what I went through with the previous person. So again I tried to submit a refund request with Angi they denied it again. So I called Angi Leads twice and spoke with two representatives. They refused to credit my money back. Both reps stated that these are the terms when you accept an "opportunity" lead. I explained that I understand customer's can choose to go with someone else, but I SHOULD NOT charged for a service I never performed. I would gladly accept the charges if I did the work. I told both reps this is not right. Not to mention all the criteria with contacting the customer on mulitple times and days were met. This is even true for those invitations where the customer acknowledges your invitation and accepts it but never speaks with you! This IS NOT RIGHT! I wanted to speak with a supervisor but the rep stated the supervisor will NOT refund these credits! AGAIN this is NOT right and it's not how you do business and treat people. Be very leery of joining Angi Leads if you are trying to work.
