An Estate In Time, LLC. Reviews

  • Oct 16, 2020

Any reviews you find of this company that are positive are actually written by family members. Not even smart enough to hide their names, which is slightly comical. High percentage, and a fair amount of the higher value items get listed on his Amazon store, or just craigslisted. Really not a nice place to do business with. The main person doing the scammy things was Michael Hlavaty.

Sold items on offerup, craigslist and FB that were set aside from the sale for himself.

Find anyone else for an estaste sale, not these shady people.

No Ethics Company

Company cheats people out of money (shill bidding), posts teh product on craigslist/offerup a few days later. Writes their own reviews. Michael is really shady, talks a lot, and hides a lot too. Derogatory to women also. Plenty of other places to choose from- stay away from this place.

Be Cautious of a Company that feels it is necessary to have their family and closest friends write most of their online reviews.

They advertise "Integrity and Accountability" but where is their integrity? Examples of reviews that their family members have written... see any review written by Pat & Mike Hlavaty (parents) or Michael Hlavaty (brother) and Marika Dzwolak, Nicole & Brad Otoupalik (sister & brother in law). Close Friends: Kathy & Dave Brinkley, Amber Svoboda Riley.

It is also rather humorous that the BBB Nominated this company for their Torch Awards for Ethics. The BBB says "they nominate companies that display an outstanding level of ethics and integrity in all of their business dealings. These companies generate a high level of trust among their employees, customers and their communities." Since when is having deceptive online reviews written by your family and friends considered ethical? honest? or of high integrity?

All of this is confirmed on facebook.

An Estate in Time Estate Sale Company, Jennifer Lamb posts reviews that are made up by family and friends. Be aware that any reviews by Marika Dzwolak, Nicole Otoupalik, Brad Otoupalik, Michael and Pat Hlavaty, Tifney Holler, Amber Svaboda Riley, and Delaney Miller are all by An Estate In Time's family and several friends. Ms Lamb was aware of these reviews because she responded to each one thanking them and commenting how nice it was doing business with them. She has now removed her comments though. (I have her responses saved) T

his company is a member of the BBB, Ethical Az, and American Society of Estate Liquidators ( ASEL). I would think that her integrity would be better than this. When I contacted Julie Hall with the ASEL, she avoided addressing the matter and didn't seem to think that making up reviews and lying about sales was an issue she wanted to address. As for the transparency that they claim in their ads, An Estate in Time advertises with a Scottsdale UPS Store address. Their actual location is in Queen Creek. They claim this is for privacy but I question why they don't just use the UPS store 1 mile away from their home office. My guess is they want to appear to be based out of Scottsdale in order to appeal to more higher end clientele. While this isn't really a huge issue, it certainly is not transparent.
