We work with Planetary, Effective Imm. Quite Group and many other music promotion agencies before. We get it, they do their best, but these companies are not fit to provide a service and deliver the value they promise on their website. They do no have the relationship or the network they claim to have. They put our artist on small blogs and syndicated a 50$ press release on Fiverr and got us no traffic.
AMW Group did the same. We ended up on FOX, MSN, Finance columns.. syndicated chanenls which get you 0 traffic. No value, nno audience, no traction to your music.
We thought giving a try with AMW Group or AM World Group whatever they are called. They have a decent good looking site, they SCAMMED the hell out of us. Not only they put us on those dead looking sites. They delivered FAKE SPOTIFY STREAMS! ONLY BOTS!!!!
As a result, Spotify flagged our artist page.... this was a next level scam. Now, CD BABY does not even want to hear from us and we cannot claim or restore our page. We invested more than $5000 with them and got our page blocked. They claimed to be doing targeted ads and campaigns, but nothing really happened. Our fanbase did not grow and we did not even go on any playlists as they promised.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE and STILL IS!!!
The artist had a grant, possible label deal and all of this is questionable now because of AMW GROUP or so called AM World Group. Pure SCAM. Save your money dont fall in the same trap we fell.
I went to AMW Group, a PR/Marketing firm after seeing their website online. I did the best research I could, nothing negative came up. Then again, the only positives were listed on their site. I decided to use their services to promote my latest album, hoping to get blog placements for my music.
My budget was about $1,000. The cost ended up around $974 for one month of their services; no more and no less. I went through their process, got my press release ready, and they sent it out. All the posts were fake! The sent me a list of all the sites posting my album info. All these were half-a*s websites that all look the same, loaded w/ bullsh*t stories and other hopeful musicians!
For example, one was a fake ABC News site. First off, why would music be promoted on the news?!?! I complained to the company and theatened to get my money back through Paypal's Dispute Center. They told me to cancel the dispute or the campaign won't continue. They insisted I just don't understand the process; they had sent my release through the newswire and that blog placememts were different. Well, they couldn't get any blog placements!
The blogs that had my release posted were all the same! The author owned a couple different sites, it was easy to tell because his name and photo was there! These are sites with no sort of fanbase or following, just empty shells of website w/ loads of other suckers who used their PR servies. People with dreams sold hope!
I understand they cannot guarantee blog placement, but they were able to do nothing for me. The places that I did see my press release posted were of no benefit to me. One advertised $10 music placecements, $40 if you wanted more exposure. I paid nearly $1,000!!! Not one cent of this saw a return. This was not worth it at all.
For those musicians looking to the AMW Group, PR Agencies, don't!
Don't do it at all! Save your money!
