Buyers/Consumers Beware FRAUD Purchased a car from this company 4 weeks ago. A day after the engine light came on, there was white smoke coming out of the exhaust and side of the car when idling that progressively got worse, and a severe odor of gas in the cabin after driving longer then 15- 20 mins . Gas smell was so severe it made some of my family members ill while driving in the car.
I immediately brought the car in to my mechanic, where the mechanic confirmed that the car they sold me first had NO CATALYTIC CONVERTERS (which is illegal in Florida without written disclosure) written disclosure was never provided! My mechanic also confirmed after inspecting and scanning the vehicle that it was misfiring and the engine was burning oil, the cause of the white smoke.
I contacted the salesperson to immediately discuss the state of the car I had just purchased and he promised to help me get the issues fixed and solved. I received texts with EBAY exhaust listings for me to look at and purchase to resolve the issue of the Cats missing ($1400+). Well 2 weeks went by after multiple time to reach them they no longer would respond. Now I'm stuck with this vehicle that now I need to purchase new catalytic converters ($1200+) and additional money to fix the issue of the engine burning oil ($2500-$3500).
I know I purchased a used vehicle and expect some repair cost may be needed but $3500 to $4500 in repairs?? All this before I even make my first payment on the vehicle. I should of read all the negative reviews posted about this company prior to purchasing anything from them but foolish me, I did not. I'm sure there would be many more negative reviews about this company online but I know they try and pay the person afterward to remove them.
I'm writing this review to let anyone looking to purchase from AMP Auto Collection know my negative experience so that they do not take advantage of anyone else. All they care about is getting you to sign the contract and getting you out the door, after that they do not stand behind their vehicles. I"m so pissed off right now.
I will be taking this matter further to the Better Business Bureau, State Attorney Generals Office, Bank Branch Financing the vehicle and the Consumer Protection Office and reporting them for Auto Dealer FRAUD. Along with consulting with my attorney and try to recover some of these ridiculous expenses I have to incur due to your fraudulent and deceptive practices.
I urge everyone that has been deceived by this company to do the same and stop them from victimizing other consumers.
