I responded to a facebook for a free trial of a skin care product - amoreskin. I entered my credit card information , address, etc. planning to back out of the sale if I came across anything that suggested an ongoing monthly shipment. I did not come across any declaration of such terms and conditions. In fact, as soon as I entered that information the sale went through.
I received the free trial. With it I received a card with information for ordering in the future.
Today I noticed that I was charged $89.97 each for additional supply of two different products.
I telephoned, using the phone number contact on my bank statement. I spoke with a cumstomer service representative who insisted on reading me the "terms" to which I had agreed. He insisted that I could not have placed the order without "checking the box" agreeing to the terms. He inisted that he could not cancel my "subscription" until he had read me the terms. I do not recall checking any box at any time. Additionally, when I searched for the website, it was different than the website to which the Facebook link had taken me.
I asked for a written copy of the terms to be emailed to me. The customer representative said that there was no way to generate an email since they were all automatically generated. I tried to get the name or contact information for someone with the authority to send an email. He gave me a phone number to the parent company which does not work.
I then went online for a search for a contact number. I found amoreskin and clicked through the "free trial" links to get to a more complete webpage. It is now listed as Decollage. They have completely changed the name of the product.
I cancelled any further shipments, but intend to contact my bank tomorrow to be absolutely sure.
I ordered free trial of skin care from Amore Skin Treatment web site. The trial consisted of two products and were free and only charged for shipping. The web site deceptively signs you up for re-ocurring shipments at the cost of $89.97 and $91.94 charged monthly to your credit card. It takes an act of god to cancel this re-ocurring monthly auto-shipment progam.
The products do not work it is no more than a scam to charge your credit card every month.
I ordered both the skin and eye treatments as as a free trial.I didnt see anywhere that I would be auto billed for future treatments and was later sent the products again and my card was hit for $94.95 and $91.94. I called the number on their website and cancelled.Being completely blind sided by this useless product scam I also called to get a refund for at least 1 shipment of this but was refused and told that they simply did not have to refund me anything. Do Not Fall For This Scam!
Shipped me my "free" sample and then proceed to charge me $85.97! recieved another shipment that i did not ask for and got charged $91.94 and $91.92! when i called customer care they said i couldn't return the products unopened and in the shipping box0. The kept trying to talk me into a 30 percent discount and thena $75 % discount. Did not want to take no for an answer.
Do not buy this product unless you expect to pay $100 for the skin cream ( didn't work for me) and then $100 for the eye cream! It is auto shipped within 14 days fo your signing up. It is NOT a free sample! Auto shipped and it is costing me $200 because they do not take refunds on any products. I hav the box not opened and they will not refund my money! I was charged $85.97 for the first "free trial" shipment. Please beware and do not buy this trial offer.
